  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Stays hot, swats HR

Marte went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Marte's sixth-inning blast was the game-deciding hit, as he continued to put a season-opening slump in the past. He's hit safely in nine straight game (13-for-32, .406), including an extra-base hit in eight of those contests. The improved bat may also have calmed him in the field, where he ranks lower half among second baseman in Outs Above Average and success rate, per MLB's Baseball Savant. Marte made a game-ending double play on a ball hit sharply to his left -- the kind of play he hadn't made on multiple occasions over the past month.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Swipes fourth bag

Estrada went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base in an 8-5 win over Miami on Monday.

Estrada singled in the sixth inning and subsequently stole second base, and he knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The infielder came into the campaign having notched just one theft in each of his previous two seasons, but he has already stolen four bases on four attempts in 2022. Estrada has above-average speed but last reached double-digit stolen bases in the minors in 2016, so his success in that department thus far comes as a bit of a surprise.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Homers, drives in three

Dubon went 3-for-4 with a home run, two total runs and three total RBI in Monday's 8-5 win over the Marlins.

Dubon plated the first run for the Giants with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, and he followed that with a two-run shot to center field in the third. The utility man collected two more hits along the way to finish with his first three-hit performance of the campaign. Dubon is batting just .244 on the season but has heated up of late, going 6-for-12 with a pair of homers and five RBI over his past three games.

  • Reds' Brandon Drury: Two hits with three-run homer

Drury went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Brewers.

Drury singled in the third inning before launching a three-run homer off Brandon Woodruff in the bottom of the fifth frame. The 29-year-old notched multiple hits for the third time in four games and extended his hit streak to six games Monday. Over that six game stretch, Drury has produced 10 hits including two long balls while collecting 10 RBI and scoring seven runs over 25 at-bats. After signing with the Reds in the offseason, he's batting .284 with six homers and 18 RBI over 24 games this season.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Climbs above .200

Marte went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over Colorado.

Marte extended his hitting streak to eight games and climbed above .200 for the first time in three weeks. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic that Marte has gotten "a little bit of his swagger back" at the plate. "He's not there quite yet. But he's checking off the pitches he's supposed to. He's starting to impact the ball at certain times in certain situations," the manager added. The second baseman is 11-for-28 (.393) with five walks, seven extra-base hits and seven runs scored during the eight-game run.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Steps out of lineup

Estrada is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Estrada has started all 27 games at second base this season but will receive the day off for the series finale versus St. Louis. Mauricio Dubon will man the keystone in his place Sunday.

  • Reds' Brandon Drury: Enters series finale with hot bat

Drury will start at third base and serve as the Reds' No. 2 hitter in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Drury enters the series finale with a four-game RBI streak, which he extended during his big performance in Saturday's doubleheader split with Pittsburgh. After going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI in the Reds' 9-2 win in Game 1, Drury followed up by going 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, four RBI, two runs and a walk in the Reds' 8-5 loss in the nightcap. He'll stick in the lineup for the 11th game in a row and should have a good case for maintaining an everyday role even if Joey Votto (illness) and Nick Senzel (illness) are able to return from the COVID-19 injured list during the upcoming week. Once those two players are back in action, Drury could settle in as the Reds' regular second baseman while Jonathan India (hamstring) is on the shelf.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Not starting Sunday

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rockies.

Rojas was activated from the injured list Friday and started the past two games at third base, and he'll receive a day off after going 2-for-7 with a walk, a run and a strikeout. Geraldo Perdomo will man the hot corner in his place during the series finale.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Homers, scores four runs Saturday

Dubon went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and four total runs in Saturday's 13-7 victory against St. Louis.

Dubon made an early impact with a second-inning two-run homer that gave San Francisco a three-run lead. He had already scored in the first frame after reaching base on an infield single. The long ball was the first of the campaign for Dubon, who has mostly struggled this season to the the tune of a .182/.200/.303 slash line across 35 plate appearances.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Brewers' Luis Urias: Day off Sunday

Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

Urias was activated from the injured list Tuesday and started the past five games, and he'll head to the bench after going 6-for-17 with a home run, four walks, two RBI and five runs during that span. Jace Peterson will start at the hot corner in his place Sunday.
