Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Slated to undergo MRI
Marte (hamstring) will undergo an MRI on Friday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Marte isn't starting Thursday's series finale against the Rockies after he left Wednesday's loss with a right hamstring injury. His MRI could provide a better idea of the severity of the issue, and a timetable for his return should come into focus once the results of the tests are known.

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Sitting out Thursday
Marte (hamstring) isn't starting Thursday's game against the Rockies.
Marte left Wednesday's loss to Colorado with an apparent right hamstring injury and won't be in the lineup for the series finale as a result. The severity of Marte's injury isn't yet known, but Tim Locastro will take over in center field and lead off Thursday.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Gets first hits of season
Albies went 2-for-6 with an RBI and a walk in Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of the Nationals.
The second baseman snapped out of a miserable 0-for-16 stretch to start the season, producing a run-scoring groundout and two singles to left field. Albies has remained in the two-hole of Atlanta's lineup despite his struggles, which should give him plenty of opportunities to score and drive in runs once he and Freddie Freeman return to their typical offensive production. Albies' power should make itself heard sooner rather than later, considering that the switch hitter recorded 24 homers in each of the past two full seasons.

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Suffers apparent hamstring injury
Marte exited Wednesday's game at Colorado with an apparent right hamstring injury, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
The 27-year-old pulled up and appeared to grab at his right hamstring during the sixth inning, and he was subsequently helped off the field by training staff. Marte entered Wednesday's contest 12-for-23 with two homers and four doubles through five games, and it would be an enormous loss for the Diamondbacks should he be forced to miss time.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Racks up three more RBI
India went 1-for-2 with three RBI and was also hit by a pitch during Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Pirates.
The rookie infielder brought home a run on a sacrifice fly during the first inning, and he added two more RBI on a two-run single during the fifth inning. India has begun his major-league career on a six-game hit streak and is 10-for-21 with one triple, one double, four runs and 10 RBI.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Idle Wednesday
McNeil is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
After going 0-for-7 with a walk while starting at second base in the first two games of the season-opening series in Philadelphia, McNeil will take a seat against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. McNeil should still be a fixture in the lineup against both right- and left-handed pitching, but manager Luis Rojas may just have wanted to get an early-season look at utility man Jonathan Villar, who will cover second base Wednesday.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Resting Wednesday
Frazier is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
After a sizzling spring training, Frazier has largely struggled to keep the momentum going into the regular season. While leading off in the Pirates' first five games, Frazier has gone 3-for-18 with a triple, double, four walks and a stolen base. He still appears to be locked in as Pittsburgh's table setter, but Frazier will get a breather for the series finale Wednesday and cede leadoff duties to Kevin Newman.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Hitting second, despite struggles
Albies will start at second base while serving as Atlanta's No. 2 hitter in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Nationals.
Several lineup regulars are struggling at the moment for an 0-4 Atlanta squad, but none more than Albies, who has gone 0-for-16 with three strikeouts to begin the season. Atlanta manager Brian Snitker could consider making some changes to the lineup if the offense isn't able to heat up in the next few days, but for now, Albies will retain a favorable spot in the lineup between Ronald Acuna and Freddie Freeman. Dansby Swanson would be the most likely candidate to move into the No. 2 spot if Snitker elects to move Albies down the order at some point.

Marte went 3-for-7 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 13-inning win over Colorado.
Marte provided the winning margin in the contest with a 13th-inning double that plated two runs. It was the third hit of the game and 12th overall this season for the 27-year-old, who has notched at least one base knock in each of his five games to start the campaign. He is slashing .522/.560/.957 overall with a pair of home runs and five RBI.
