Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Suffers leg injury Sunday

Marte left Sunday's game in the sixth inning with an apparent leg injury, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

The severity and specific nature of Marte's injury is unclear, which puts his availability for the D-backs' upcoming wikd-card matchup with Colorado in question. Chris Herrmann replaced him as a pinch runner during the sixth inning.

  • Pirates' Chris Bostick: Gets nod against Nats

Bostick will make his third start at second base in seven games Sunday against Washington.

He'll bat leadoff against lefty Gio Gonzalez. Formerly of the Nationals' organization, Bostick has three hits in seven at-bats as a starter and has shown energy atop the order. He's playing for a backup spot in 2018 after hitting .294/.362/.418 in 549 plate appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Sits out Sunday

Frazier is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Frazier will head to the bench for the season's final game, being replaced by Chris Bostick at the keystone. The 25-year-old will finish the season with a .277 average and 98 wRC+ in his 120 games played.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Whacks sixth homer in Friday's loss

Albies went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in the Braves' 3-2 loss to the Marlins on Friday night.

The young second baseman led off the contest with a bang, sending Dan Straily's second offering over the fence to give Atlanta an early lead. Albies is hitting well right now, notching multi-hit games in three of his past four starts and producing an .840 OPS with four home runs this month. With good speed to his name, he looks like he could be a nice multi-category producer for years to come.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Heads to bench Thursday

Frazier is not in the lineup Thursday against the Nationals.

Frazier has gone 5-for-13 (.385) with a pair of extra-base hits over his previous three starts, but he'll get the day off as Chris Bostick takes over for him at the keystone.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Bright spot in defeat

Albies went 3-for-4 with two steals and an RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Mets.

He was just about the only one who made any noise with the bat for the Braves, and Albies has now raised his rookie batting average to .281. His combination of pop, speed and contact already plays well in fantasy, and at only 20 years old, the talented second baseman has plenty of room to develop.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Day off Wednesday

Rosario is not in the lineup against Atlanta on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Rosario will get another day off after going 1-for-4 with a triple and a pair of strikeouts during Tuesday's game. In his place, Matt Reynolds draws the start at short, while batting eighth in the order.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Drives in two, collects two XBH in win

Marte went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, walk, two RBI and a run in Tuesday's 11-4 win over the Giants.

Marte's slugging percentage has taken a significant hit over the last few weeks, but the infielder may have regained the faith of fantasy owners by producing two extra-base hits Wednesday, matching his total from his previous 15 contests combined. He collected both of his RBI on a fifth-inning triple, helping the Diamondbacks retain their advantage after the Giants scored their first two runs of the game in the top half of the frame. Though the Diamondbacks' spot in the playoffs is secure, Marte and the team's other lineup mainstays aren't expected to be rested frequently during the club's final four games of the regular season, as manager Torey Lovullo likely wants to keep everyone sharp for next week's wild-card matchup with either the Rockies, Brewers or Cardinals.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Returns to bench Tuesday

Forsythe is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Padres.

Forsythe had been seeing regular playing time in place of the injured Justin Turner (finger), but his big day at the plate Monday (3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI) wasn't enough to keep him in the starting lineup following Turner's return. The 30-year-old will return to an undesirable platoon at the keystone with Chase Utley, likely drawing a start Wednesday against the left-handed Clayton Richard.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Drives in both Arizona runs

Drury went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 9-2 loss to the Giants.

With the Diamondbacks punching their ticket to the postseason over the weekend, manager Torey Lovullo filled the lineup Monday with mostly reserves, and since Drury was one of the more accomplished bats in the starting nine, he slotted into the No. 3 spot. He justified the assignment with an RBI double in the bottom of the first and brought home the Diamondbacks' final run of the night on a base hit in his second at-bat. Drury is now batting 7-for-20 over his last seven contests, but for the time being, it still appears as though he'll be locked into a timeshare at the keystone with Daniel Descalso.
