Arroyo (hamstring) was recently cleared to resume baseball activities but remains without a clear timeline to return from the 10-day injured list, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Arroyo and Danny Santana (groin) appear to be in roughly the same spot in their rehab programs for lower-body injuries, which they sustained within a few days of one another shortly after the All-Star break. Until Arroyo heads out on a minor-league rehab assignment, his return to the big-league roster shouldn't be considered imminent. Once reinstated from the IL, Arroyo could factor into the mix for regular playing time at first base versus right-handed pitching.

Lux (hamstring) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

He'll start at second base and bat second for Oklahoma City in what marks his first game action since July 18. Before his strained left hamstring resulted in a trip to the injured list, Lux had been serving as an everyday player in the middle infield, but with Corey Seager beating him back from the IL and with the Dodgers acquiring Trea Turner from the Nationals at the trade deadline, the 23-year-old no longer has a path to a regular role with the big club. After posting a modest .656 OPS over his 313 plate appearances on the season, Lux may not even be the next man up for work at second base or shortstop, as super-utility man Chris Taylor (.872 OPS) is a likelier candidate to fill any potential void.

Short was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

Short had appeared in nine of the last 10 games, but he went 0-for-23 with two RBI, three walks and 12 strikeouts during that time. The 26-year-old will attempt to sort things out in the minors, while Niko Goodrum (calf) will be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against Baltimore.

Torres suffered a thumb injury while sliding into second base in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Mariners, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Torres went 3-for-4 with a double and a strikeout in Sunday's contest, but he was replaced defensively in the top of the ninth inning. The 24-year-old will undergo an X-ray and MRI to determine the extent of the issue, and manager Aaron Boone said after the game that he's somewhat concerned about the injury.

Rodgers (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Rodgers will head to the bench for the first time since July 24 after suffering a right hand contusion in Saturday's 7-4 win. The Rockies don't appear to be too concerned about the injury, as Rodgers could be available to pinch hit Sunday after his hand felt better when he was evaluated in the morning, according to Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette. Colorado is tentatively planning on having Rodgers rejoin the lineup during its upcoming two-game set in Houston that begins Tuesday.

Andrus went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a walk and a run in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Andrus was productive out of the bottom of the order, snapping a 1-for-18 skid that had encompassed his last five games. The 32-year-old has cooled off in the second half after heading into the All-Star break with a solid .281/.303/.421 slash line over his last 28 first-half contests, but he's still managed to prevent sinking back to the depths of his abysmal first two months of the season.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Diaz looked poised for a spike in playing time after Jazz Chisholm was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Aug. 3, but that window closed a day later when Chisholm was reinstated from the IL. Now on the bench for the third time in four games, Diaz doesn't look set to receive regular work against either right-handed or left-handed pitching for the foreseeable future.

Frazier went 1-for-4 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's win over Arizona.

The second baseman used his speed to generate a run in the eighth inning. He led off the frame with a single to center field, stole second base and raced around to score on a Manny Machado single. The steal was his first as a Padre, and Frazier has been struggling a bit with his new club, slashing .229/.259/.257 over nine games.

Estrada was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday.

With the Giants leaning heavily on their bullpen in recent games, Estrada was optioned to bring up reliever John Brebbia in a corresponding move. The versatile Estrada has a .303/.376/.447 slash line through 85 plate appearances, so he could be back with the big club soon.

Semien went 2-for-7 during Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, blasting a walkoff homer in Game 1 and hitting a double in Game 2.

Semien's homer in the seventh inning was a walkoff blast for Toronto in Game 1, and his double in the second contest of the twin bill extended his hitting streak to nine games. The shortstop has gone 10-for-35 (.286) with two homers, four RBI, six runs scored and seven extra-base hits in that span.
