Rosario went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's 13-5 win over the Tigers.

Rosario recorded a multi-hit performance for the second straight game and the eighth time this month. He came around to score in the first and fourth innings as Cleveland's offense had its way with Detroit's pitching. The 25-year-old upped his slash line to .276/.331/.398 with five homers, 23 RBI, 39 runs scored, seven stolen bases and an 18:52 K:BB over 266 plate appearances. Despite a slow start, he's done quite well filling the shoes of Francisco Lindor since being shipped to Cleveland for him in a six-player trade back in January.

Rojas went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and a strikeout in a 7-1 loss to the Cardinals on Monday.

Rojas accounted for Arizona's lone run with his fifth-inning homer off St. Louis starter Wade LeBlanc and later doubled to lead off the seventh but was left stranded. It was the utility man's fourth straight start with two hits as he's 8-for-19 over his past five games, though Monday's double and homer were his first extra-base hits in the stretch.

Merrifield went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Merrifield singled and scored in the first inning before launching a solo homer in the second. It was his seventh homer of the season and first since June 20. The 32-year-old owns a .757 OPS with 27 extra-base hits through 337 plate appearances.

Gorman was promoted to Triple-A Memphis from Double-A Springfield on Monday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The 21-year-old appeared in 43 games for Springfield and earned the promotion by slashing .288/.354/.508 with 11 homers, 27 RBI, four stolen bases and 26 runs. His 26.7 percent strikeout rate at Double-A was his best mark above rookie ball, and if he can maintain a similar contact rate against Triple-A pitching, it's possible we could see him in the majors later this summer.

Marte was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Monday, retroactive to June 27.

Marte underwent imaging Monday after he aggravated his hamstring injury Saturday, and he's been diagnosed with a strain. It's not yet clear when the 27-year-old will be cleared to return to game action, but Tim Locastro and Pavin Smith could see increased time in center field in his absence.

Arroyo's stay on the injured list with a bruised right knee is expected to be a brief one, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

The Red Sox originally thought Arroyo could avoid a trip to the injured list after he got hurt in a collision with teammate Enrique Hernandez back on June 20. While he was unable to do so, he's progressing well and isn't set to miss much more time. He'll be eligible to return Thursday, though the Red Sox have yet to confirm whether or not he'll do so.

Wong was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Wong's latest stint in the big leagues lasted just three days. He went hitless in his lone at-bat. He could return as a utility option at some point this summer but will cede his bench spot to Scott Schebler for now.

Frazier isn't starting Monday against the Rockies, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Frazier went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and a walk in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, and he'll get a rare day off in Monday's series opener. Kevin Newman will shift to second base while Erik Gonzalez starts at shortstop.

Chavis will start at second base and bat ninth Monday against the Royals, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Before heading to the bench for Sunday's 9-2 win over the Yankees, Chavis had served as Boston's leadoff man in each of the previous three contests. He'll cede table-setting duties to Enrique Hernandez in Monday's series opener with a lefty (Danny Duffy) on the hill for Kansas City, but Chavis at least appears to have supplanted Danny Santana as Boston's preferred option at second base. Through 46 plate appearances at the big-league level this season, Chavis is slashing .244/.261/.400.

Short is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Cleveland, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Short started each of the Tigers' previous three games at shortstop, going 2-for-8 with a home run, double and a walk. Harold Castro will get the nod at the position in Monday's series opener, but Short could at least be part of a timeshare while the Tigers await the return of top option Niko Goodrum (finger) from the injured list.
