Manager Chris Woodward said Forsythe will initially be the primary replacement for Ronald Guzman (hamstring) at first base, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

The Rangers called up Patrick Wisdom, another infielder like Forsythe that has limited experience at first base. "If anything, at the beginning, I'm going to get Logan some more at-bats. Wisdom will play, no question. I'm not saying either one will be the everyday first baseman." It sounds like the situation is a fluid one, and if Wisdom becomes the more productive hitter, then he will get the greater share of at-bats at first base. If Guzman's injury lingers longer than the projected three-to-four week prognosis, then Woodward said the Rangers could revisit the decision to use Forsythe and Wisdom as the team's solution at first.

Kemp started at designated hitter and went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's 9-8 victory over Oakland.

Kemp has hit safely in three straight games, but those games are spread out over six days. He's part of a rotation of players getting at-bats at DH and will occasionally get an outfield start. Thus far, the left-handed hitting Kemp has made five starts over the first 10 games.

Frazier went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 7-5 victory against the Reds on Sunday.

The 27-year-old went deep to start off the bottom of the first. Power and RBI aren't Frazier's speciality, but he's experienced a strong beginning to the season with a .333 average, four extra-base hits, three RBI, five runs and two steals. He was also thrown out at second base after getting picked off at first, continuing a trend of aggressive baserunning.

Torres went 2-for-5 with a home run, a walk and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Orioles.

Torres launched a solo homer in the second inning to give the Yankees an early 1-0 lead. He's already racked up 13 hits in nine games this season (35 at-bats) and sits with three home runs along with five RBI across that span.

Hernandez is back in the lineup Sunday, playing second base and hitting seventh against the Rockies, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Hernandez got the day off Saturday, but he's back in action for this tilt against the Rockies. The 27-year-old has hit leadoff five times so far this season, but he'll move to seventh in this contest as Joc Pederson will man the top of the order with the Dodgers facing right-hander Chad Bettis. Hernandez is off to a hot start, slashing .370/.471/.741 through his first 27 at-bats.

Forsythe will start at first base and hit seventh Sunday against the Angels, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Forsythe entered Saturday's game as a defensive replacement for Ronald Guzman, who exited the contest with right hamstring discomfort. After undergoing an MRI following the game, Guzman was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, so Forsythe will again step in at first base to fill in. It's unclear if Forsythe will become a fixture in the lineup moving forward, as the Rangers recalled another corner infielder from Triple-A Nashville in Patrick Wisdom, who will also be a candidate to draw starts at first base.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Lowe will be one of three lefty regulars in the Tampa Bay lineup that will take a seat in the series finale with southpaw Drew Pomeranz on the bump. Ji-Man Choi and Austin Meadows will join Lowe on the bench.

Beckham is starting at first base and batting eighth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Beckham has played in just three games with seven plate appearances so far this season, so the Tigers will get him some run in Sunday's series finale. The 32-year-old infielder has just one hit in those seven plate appearances, though it was a home run.

Drury is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Indians, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Drury looked lost at the plate in the first three games of the series in Cleveland, recording one hit while striking out eight times over his other 11 at-bats. He'll sit in favor of Richard Urena on getaway day.

Frazier is leading off and starting at second base Sunday versus the Reds.

Frazier hit the bench for the first time this season Saturday but will return to action for the series finale. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fast start to the season by slashing .308/.400/.423 with two home runs and two stolen bases in 30 plate appearances.
