Motter is not in the lineup Monday against the Twins, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Motter has seen consistent playing time while filling in for Jean Segura (ankle) at shortstop, but the utility man has failed to collect a hit in the past three games. He'll hit the bench, allowing Tyler Smith to pick up a start at shortstop.

Polanco is not in the lineup Monday against the Mariners, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Despite him returning from the bereavement list Monday, the Twins will hold Polanco out of action at least one more day. This will be the eighth straight game the young shortstop will sit out. Ehire Adrianza will man shortstop in his stead.

Polanco (personal) was activated from the bereavement list Monday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Polanco had been away from the team for the last week following the death of his grandfather. The Twins haven't announced their lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, but it's expected that Polanco will settle back in at shortstop, with Eduardo Escobar heading back to the bench as a result. Polanco is batting .251 with 20 RBI and 20 runs over 198 plate appearances this season.

Andrus went 1-for-4 with a two-run triple in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Nationals.

Andrus' second three-bagger of the season came during a four-run eighth inning that ended up deciding the game. The triple was the 24th extra-base hit of the season for Andrus, who is now carrying a career-high .463 slugging percentage to go with his typically sound production in batting average (.301), runs (37) and steals (15). Andrus' excellent all-around contributions have arguably made him the top fantasy shortstop through the first two-plus months of the season.

Drury went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Brewers.

Drury hit one of three seventh-inning home runs for the Diamondbacks, giving him two long balls in as many days. The 24-year-old hasn't had the breakout campaign some may have projected for him, but his season slash line of .284/.332/.473 is at least comparable to what he provided in his promising first full year in the big leagues in 2016 (.284/.332/.473).

Semien was able to hit soft toss Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Semien had previously been hitting off a tee, so hitting soft-toss throws amounts to incremental progress. The true test for Semien's wrist won't come until he's able to take batting practice, but it's unclear how close he is to reaching that phase of the recovery process. In the meantime, Chad Pinder will continue to serve as the Athletics' everyday shortstop while the team awaits Semien's return from the disabled list.

Forsythe is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Forsythe continues to struggle at the plate this season, having now seen his batting average dip from .286 to .198 since his activation from the disabled list on May 23. He'll get the day off Sunday with Chase Utley taking over at second base and batting leadoff.

Tomlinson will start at shortstop and man the leadoff spot Sunday against the Twins, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

With manager Bruce Bochy holding out three of the team's regular infielders (Brandon Belt, Joe Panik and Brandon Crawford) in the series finale, Tomlinson will not only receive the opportunity to start but also assume a prominent spot in the lineup. The utility man exhibited excellent on-base skills during his time with the Giants the last two seasons, but he hasn't been quite as productive in that regard in 2017, albeit in a more limited sample. It's expected that Tomlinson will reprise his usual bench role in the Giants' following game Tuesday against the Royals.

Drury went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Brewers.

Drury's sixth-inning jack -- his sixth of the season -- gave the Diamondbacks the lead for the first time all game and eventually would go down as the winning hit. The infielder is batting just .206 over his last 11 games, but he's at least been displaying a little more power of late with three extra-base hits in his past four contests.

Frazier went 2-for-6 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 12-7 loss to the Marlins.

He's cooled down considerably since his mid-May explosion, and Frazier is slashing only .214/.281/.321 through seven games in June with four RBI and six runs. He's still in the leadoff spot for the Bucs, however, allowing him to retain some fantasy value even when hits aren't falling him for him.
