Athletics' J.D. Davis: Lands on IL
Oakland placed Davis on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right adductor strain, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Davis had been expected to miss at least the next few days while recovering from the injury, and the club has now decided a trip to the IL was warranted. Outfielder Esteury Ruiz was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move.

Athletics' J.D. Davis: Likely out at least a few days
Davis (groin) is unlikely to play for at least a few days, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Davis suffered a hip flexor/groin injury Sunday and was set to be examined by Athletics doctors Monday. Esteury Ruiz was spotted in the A's clubhouse Monday, but it's not clear whether he could be a potential roster replacement for Davis. More information should be available after Davis' exam.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Returns to Houston lineup
Bregman (illness) will start at third base and bat cleanup in Monday's contest versus Atlanta.
Bregman missed three games due to illness but is feeling up to participating in Monday's festivities. It's been a slow start to the season for the veteran third baseman, as he'll carry a .241/.305/.333 batting line with no home runs into play Monday.

Athletics' J.D. Davis: Exits Sunday with groin injury
Davis exited Sunday's win over the Nationals after five innings due to a right groin strain, MLB.com reports.
Davis felt tightness in his groin during a fourth-inning at-bat, likely the result of a difficult over-the-shoulder catch he'd made in the top of the frame on a CJ Abrams flyball. The veteran infielder is slated for an MRI on Monday and considered day-to-day until that evaluation is completed. If Davis is forced to miss any additional time, the trio of Tyler Nevin, who served as an in-game replacement Sunday, Abraham Toro and Darell Hernaiz would all be candidates to draw starts at third base.

Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Not progressing as hoped
Manager Kevin Cash said Saturday that Walls (hip) isn't recovering as quickly as the Rays had originally hoped, MLB.com reports.
Walls has yet to play this season while recovering from offseason hip surgery. He was expected to return by mid-April, but he has no clear timeline to come off the 10-day injured list at this point. Walls' ongoing absence should ensure continued playing time for Jose Caballero at shortstop.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Returns to lineup Monday
Devers (shoulder) will start at third base and bat sixth in Monday's game versus the Guardians.
Devers missed four contests with a lingering left shoulder issue, but he's feeling well enough to return to action for Monday's Patriots Day game. He and his teammates will be going up against right-hander Xzavion Curry.

Gabriel Arias SS | CLE
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Homers in Sunday's win
Arias went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Sunday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Yankees.
Arias' playing time has been limited this season as he serves in a utility role off the bench. He got a start at shortstop Sunday and delivered with his first homer and second extra-base hit of the season. The 24-year-old also made defensive shifts to first base and right field during the contest. He's hitting just .227 with four RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base over 23 plate appearances. With Brayan Rocchio batting .217 so far, there could be a chance for Arias to avenge his position battle loss from spring training as the regular season progresses.

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Tallies fifth homer
Paredes went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on Sunday against the Giants.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Knocks third homer
Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
Ramirez put the Guardians on the board with a two-run shot in the third inning. It was his third long ball of the season and first since April 8. He was stuck in a three-game hitless drought entering Sunday's contest, going 0-for-13 during that stretch. Ramirez is now slashing .246/.257/.435 with six extra-base hits and 12 RBI through 70 plate appearances.
