Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Reaches 20-homer mark
Henderson went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-4 win over the Athletics.
Henderson's second-inning blast gave the Orioles enough to win the game, and he added an RBI single in the fourth. The 22-year-old had gone 10 contests without a homer, and he's now at 20 long balls on the year. He's maintained a middling .242 batting average, but it comes with a solid .789 OPS, 59 RBI, 65 runs scored, six stolen bases, 17 doubles and five triples over 111 games this season.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Transferred to 60-day IL
Rendon was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.
Angels manager Phil Nevin said in late July Rendon would be shut down from baseball activities for at least two weeks after it was discovered he had a deep bone bruise in his left shin. Now that he is on the 60-day IL, the soonest he could return is Sept. 9. Mike Moustakas and Eduardo Escobar will continue to share time at third base in Rendon's place.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Exits with upper body issue
Garcia was removed from Friday's game against the Cubs due to upper body discomfort.
Garcia dealt with an upper-body issue last weekend and missed two games. He was 0-for-2 in Friday's matinee tilt at Wrigley Field before Matt Duffy entered to replace him at third base in the bottom of the fourth inning. Garcia should be considered day-to-day until the Royals' medical staff has a better idea what the rookie is dealing with.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Back in lineup Friday
Chapman (finger) is back in the lineup Friday versus the Reds.
Chapman will start at third base and bat fifth after missing a handful of games due to inflammation in his right middle finger. He's sporting a .796 OPS with 15 home runs and 49 RBI through 116 games (485 plate appearances) this season for Toronto.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Keeps raking Wednesday
Gelof went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Cardinals.
The rookie second baseman has been on fire since the calendar flipped to August. Over his last 14 games, Gelof is slashing .370/.424/.778 with 12 of his 20 hits (seven doubles and five homers) going for extra-bases, and he's added 10 runs, 10 RBI and two steals for good measure. The A's have cycled through a number of young position players this season with erratic results, but Gelof is quickly emerging as the best of the bunch.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Multi-hit effort
Paredes went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Wednesday against the Giants.
Paredes has struggled statistically in August, as he entered Wednesday's game having maintained just a .159 average across 44 at-bats in 12 games. He turned in his second multi-hit effort of the month, and he should continue to see better results as he's maintained a solid 19.6 percent strikeout rate in that same span. Even with the promotion of Curtis Mead, Paredes has maintained a near-everyday role at third base.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Homers, drives in three
Bregman went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 12-5 victory over the Marlins.
Bregman opened the scoring Wednesday with a solo home run off Jesus Luzardo in the first inning before adding two more RBI with a double in the seventh. While the homer was Bregman's first since July 29, he's logged five multi-hit games in his last nine contests, going 12-for-36 (.334) in that span. The 29-year-old third baseman is now slashing .251/.349/.418 with 19 homers, 79 RBI and 71 runs scored across 538 plate appearances this season.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Starts hitting of tee
Miranda (shoulder) has started hitting off a tee and throwing at about 50 percent from 60 feet, The Athletic reports.
Miranda received a platelet-rich plasma injection for his injured right shoulder in mid-July. He's finally showing some signs of improvement and said he hopes to begin a rehab assignment in three weeks. He could return in late September if all goes well, though the Twins may not need him on the active roster.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Out again with finger issue
Chapman (finger) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.
Chapman hasn't played since Saturday due to inflammation in his right middle finger. Toronto is off Thursday, so the third baseman might be completely held out of action until Friday's series opener in Cincinnati. Santiago Espinal will handle the hot corner and bat eighth Wednesday versus Philly.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Knocks 17th homer Tuesday
Suarez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Tuesday.
Suarez got what would turn out to be a prolific offensive night for the Mariners kicked off in high gear with his 409-foot solo shot to left field in the fourth inning. The 32-year-old is cobbling together an impressive August despite the fact he's striking out at a massive 43.1 percent clip during the month, as he's still carrying a .283 average and .817 OPS over his 58 plate appearances in that sample while reaching safely in all but one of his 13 games.
