Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Fifth career multi-homer game
Jung went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Colorado.
Jung got Texas on the board in the first inning with a two-run home run off Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland, later tacking on an insurance run with another homer in the eighth. It was the fifth career multi-homer effort by Jung, who now has five extra-base hits through 12 games in May. The 27-year-old third baseman has also hit four long balls over his last seven games, hitting .360 with seven RBI over 25 at-bats in that span.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Back in lineup Tuesday
Jung is starting at third base and batting eighth in Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.
After starting three straight games, Jung got Monday off, but he'll return to the lineup a day later. The 24-year-old is starting to emerge as Detroit's top option at the hot corner, at least against righties. The eventual return of Matt Vierling (shoulder) could squeeze Jung a bit, though he should maintain a regular role for now.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Back in lineup Tuesday
Vargas (calf) will start at third base and bat second in Tuesday's game versus the Reds.
Vargas missed the previous two contests with a right calf injury, but he's ready to go for the series opener in Cincinnati. With Vargas handling third base, Josh Rojas is shifting to left field for the White Sox on Tuesday.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Activated Tuesday
LeMahieu (calf/hip) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in Seattle.
LeMahieu will switch spots with Oswaldo Cabrera (fractured ankle), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. LeMahieu should serve as the Yankees' primary third baseman in the short term, but at 36 and coming off three straight years of declining production, he may not be able to hold the job indefinitely. He hit .204 with a .269 OBP, two home runs and zero steals in 228 plate appearances last year, although he did log a 1.093 OPS on his rehab assignment, thanks in part to a .500 BABIP.

Oswaldo Cabrera LF | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Diagnosed with fractured ankle
The Yankees placed Cabrera on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left ankle fracture.
The diagnosis doesn't come as a surprise after Cabrera had to be taken off the field in an ambulance in Monday's game versus the Mariners. It's not clear at this point how long Cabrera might be sidelined, but certainly the absence will be a lengthy one. DJ LeMahieu (calf/hip) is taking Cabrera's spot on the roster and could receive the bulk of the reps at third base in Cabrera's spot, as well.

Oswaldo Cabrera LF | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Goes down with leg injury
Cabrera left Monday's game against the Mariners due to a left leg injury, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
Cabrera was injured on a play at the plate in the top of the ninth inning as he attempted an awkward slide. He was eventually taken off the field in an ambulance after being attended to by the team's training staff. The Yankees later reported that Cabrera was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, per Kuty.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Swipes three bags
Ramirez went 1-for-2 with two runs scored, three stolen bases and two walks in Monday's win over Milwaukee.
Ramirez singled, stole two bags and scored in the fourth inning. He later walked and scored again after swiping his third base of the night. It was his first multi-steal game of the year and first time stealing three in one contest since 2021. Ramirez has gone 15-for-40 (.375) over his last 11 games, raising his slash line to .289/.356/.472 with 12 steals through 163 plate appearances.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Expected to be activated Tuesday
LeMahieu (calf/hip) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
LeMahieu is set to join the Yankees after missing the entirety of the 2025 season to this point while recovering from a left calf strain and a right hip issue. The 36-year-old had seen most of his starts at third base and first base over the previous two seasons, but he's expected to step into a regular role at second base initially while Jazz Chisholm (oblique) is on the shelf. Boone suggested that LeMahieu will likely be limited to a bench role Tuesday in Seattle, but LeMahieu is expected to start at the keystone in Wednesday's series finale with the Mariners. LeMahieu struggled to a career-low .204 average while adding two home runs, 26 RBI and 19 runs over 201 at-bats in 67 games with New York in 2024.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Not activated from IL yet
LeMahieu (calf) was not activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game in Seattle, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
LeMahieu has joined the Yankees in Seattle, but the team hasn't put him on the active roster just yet. That could come as soon as Tuesday. LeMahieu has been shelved all season with a calf strain and more recently a hip issue.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Out of Tigers lineup
Jung is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Red Sox.
Right-hander Tanner Houck is on the bump for the Red Sox, but the left-handed-hitting Jung will grab a seat after starting each of the last three games against righties. Zach McKinstry will pick up a start at third base and bat sixth for the Tigers in the series opener.
