Espinal started at third base and went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Pirates.
Espinal delivered a two-run single that gave the Reds a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning. He's hit safely in six straight games, during which Espinal is 10-for-23 with three RBI and three runs. This continues a strong second half for the 29-year-old utility infielder. Espinal is batting .424/.452/.610 over 17 games since the All-Star break.

Enrique Hernandez 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Slugs game-tying homer
Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 7-3 win over the Rays.
The Dodgers were behind early, but Hernandez went deep in the fifth inning off Rays starter Tyler Alexander to tie the game at 3-3. Hernandez went 7-for-32 (.219) over 10 contests between his two most recent homers, and this was his fourth multi-hit effort over 18 games in August. The utility man is now slashing .215/.276/.341 with eight homers, 32 RBI, 32 runs scored and no stolen bases over 100 games this season. Friday was the first time the Dodgers have faced a southpaw starter since Max Muncy was activated from the injured list Monday, so it's possible Hernandez could still find his way into the lineup versus southpaws with some regularity.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Racks up three hits Friday
Machado went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's 7-0 win over the Mets.
Machado had just one multi-hit effort over his previous 11 games, going 8-for-39 (.205) in that span. All three of his hits Friday were singles. Machado is now at a .270/.321/.448 slash line with 20 home runs, 74 RBI, 61 runs scored, 23 doubles and seven stolen bases over 121 contests this season.

Suarez took Josh Winckowski deep in the seventh inning for his second grand slam of the season, both coming in his last eight games. He also drove in another run for his fourth game this season with five or more RBI, tying Yasmany Tomas' franchise record. Since July 1, Suarez is slashing .296/.351/.609 with 13 home runs and a MLB-leading 42 RBI.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sitting Friday
Muncy is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Tampa Bay.
The lefty-hitting Muncy will begin Friday's contest in the dugout as the Rays send southpaw Tyler Alexander to the mound. In three games since returning from the 60-day injured list Monday, Muncy has gone 4-for-10 with three runs scored, two home runs and six RBI.

Mark Vientos 3B | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Two hits, three RBI in win
Vientos went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Padres.
Vientos doubled home the Mets' first run of the game in the opening frame and later added a two-run single in the top of the ninth to extend his team's lead to four runs. It marked the second consecutive multi-hit effort for the third baseman and the fourth in his last eight games. Vientos also extended his hitting streak to 10 games with Thursday's performance, and he's now driven in at least one run in three straight.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Climbs to Mendoza Line
Marte went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Thursday's 7-0 loss to Pittsburgh.
Marte was one of only two Reds to reach scoring position, when he singled and stole second base in the eighth inning. The third baseman has steals in two consecutive games and is up to six for the season. A silver lining to the dark cloud that's characterized Marte's year to date is that he hit safely for a third straight game and saw his batting average creep up to .200.
