Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Returns to lineup Tuesday
McMahon (illness) will start at third base and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game against the Guardians.
McMahon was scratched from the lineup for Monday's series opener in Cleveland due to an illness, but he's apparently feeling fine after a day of rest and treatment. Mike Moustakas, who replaced McMahon at third base Monday, will shift over to first base Tuesday while C.J. Cron rests.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: Recalled from Triple-A
Rivera was recalled Tuesday from Triple-A Reno, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
He'll replace struggling outfielder Jake McCarthy on the Diamondbacks' active roster. Rivera had been off to a highly encouraging start this season at Reno, but the 26-year-old will likely operate mostly as a utility infielder with very little fantasy upside. He owns a career .238/.298/.393 batting line in the bigs.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Hits fifth homer of season
Riley went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and two additional runs scored in Monday's 11-0 win over the Marlins.
Riley's two-run blast in the sixth extended the Braves's lead to 8-0 and marked his fifth long ball of the season. It was the third time this year that the power-hitting third baseman walked multiple times in a game and the first time he scored three or more runs. Across 23 games (102 plate appearances), Riley is slashing .271/.373/.482.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Rockies' Mike Moustakas: Three hits in Monday's win
Moustakas went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's 6-0 win over the Guardians.
It's the first multi-hit performance of the season for Moustakas, as he got the start at third base and hit sixth for the Rockies. With Elehuris Montero back down in Triple-A, there are at-bats available at the hot corner and at DH, but Moustakas hasn't done a lot to earn them so far by batting .243 with one homer, seven RBI and eight runs in 16 games.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Getting day off Monday
Arenado is not in the Cardinals' lineup Monday in San Francisco, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Arenado is in the middle of a 5-for-32 slide at the plate, so he'll get a day off to regroup. Brendan Donovan will be at third base, with Tommy Edman covering second base and Paul DeJong playing shortstop.

Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Dodgers' Michael Busch: Headed to big leagues
Busch is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
He's taking the roster spot of Max Muncy, who was placed on the paternity list. Busch has posted a .967 OPS with two home runs at Oklahoma City this season after submitting an .881 OPS with 32 dingers between Double-A Tulsa and Oklahoma City in 2022. He'll be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game, although Busch could be in store for a short stay when Muncy returns before the weekend.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Going on paternity leave
The Dodgers are expected to place Muncy on the paternity list Tuesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Muncy can be away from the club for up three games. With the Dodgers set to begin a homestand Friday versus the Cardinals, Muncy will most likely remain in Los Angeles while the team completes its road trip with a three-game set in Pittsburgh. Muncy leads the majors with 11 home runs so far this season.

Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Reds' Jason Vosler: Dropped from 40-man roster
The Reds designated Vosler for assignment Monday.
After securing a spot on the Opening Day roster, Vosler made an early splash by providing six extra-base hits and nine RBI through the Reds' first eight games, but a 36 percent strikeout rate during that stretch was a warning sign that tough times were ahead for the 29-year-old. Regression ended up hitting Vosler hard, as he had fallen into a 4-for-38 rut at the dish over his last 12 games while striking out in 40 percent of his plate appearances. Though Joey Votto (shoulder/biceps) remains on the injured list, the Reds will likely turn over first base to Wil Myers on a regular basis to open up more opportunities for other outfielders rather than sticking with Vosler as an everyday option in the infield.
