Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Crushes first homer of year
Riley went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's win over the Cardinals.
He set the tone for the night with a blast to left field in the first inning that was measured at 473 feet. It was Riley's first homer of the season, but there should be many more coming for the 26-year-old third baseman after he launched a combined 71 over the prior two years while driving in exactly 200 runs.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Hits first dinger of season
Longoria went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss against the Padres.
After sitting Sunday, Longoria was back in the starting lineup Monday and smacked his first home run as a Diamondback. The veteran has struggled with injuries, playing less than 90 games in three straight seasons (all with San Francisco), but if he can stay on the field, he figures to see plenty of plate appearances with his new squad.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: Hits homer in loss
Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a loss to the Rays on Monday.
Candelario scored both of Washington's runs in the defeat. He reached on an error in the seventh and crossed the plate on a Lane Thomas groundout, then homered in his final at-bat to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning. Candelario has gone 2-for-7 over his past two games after going hitless across seven at-bats over the Nationals' first two contests of the campaign, but his defense at third base should keep in the starting role even if he doesn't supply much production with his bat.

Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Reds' Jason Vosler: Homers off bench
Vosler went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's win over the Cubs.
He entered the game in the bottom of the second inning, replacing Jose Barrero (hamstring) on the bases. Vosler stayed in at first base as Wil Myers moved out to right field and TJ Friedl shifted to center. Vosler would end up playing the hero for Cincinnati, hitting a three-run shot in the fifth inning which proved to be the game winner. While he's not an everyday starter for the Reds, Vosler has been swinging the bat well early on when given the opportunity.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: X-rays clean on wrist
Wisdom was hit on his left wrist by a pitch Monday against the Reds but X-rays came back clean, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
He was hit on the wrist by a pitch from Ian Gibaut but stayed in the game and went 1-for-4 with a run scored. Wisdom said the wrist felt tender when swinging and he's still sore, but he noted that he'd be OK. It sounds like he is day-to-day.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Hits first homer in blowout
Anderson went 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-0 victory over the Mets.
Anderson crushed a Carlos Carrasco offering to center in the fourth inning with a runner on to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead. That's the first homer of the season for the right-handed hitter, and the first for Anderson as a member of the Brewers. With Luis Urias (hamstring) on the shelf, Anderson is expected to receive most of his playing time at the hot corner over the next two months.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Huge day for Syracuse
Baty went 4-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base, two home runs and five RBI for Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.
The 23-year-old forced the Mets to make a tough decision at the end of spring training when they optioned him back to Triple-A, and it looks like Baty is going to keep the pressure on for a quick promotion. Eduardo Escobar has gone 1-for-16 with seven strikeouts to begin the season as the starting third baseman on the big-league squad, and if he doesn't turn things around soon, New York may decide Baty gives the team the best chance to win in 2023.

Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Reds' Jason Vosler: Sits out Monday
Vosler is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
Southpaw Drew Smyly is taking the hill for the Cubs, so the lefty-hitting Vosler will bow out of the starting nine, giving way to Wil Myers at first base. Vosler connected on his first home run of the season in Sunday's win over the Pirates and has plated three runs through his first three games. He should serve as the Reds' primary option at first base until Joey Votto (shoulder) returns from the injured list.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Tallies first homer
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Padres.
McMahon accounted for the only run Colorado scored Sunday, smacking his first home run of the season in the seventh inning. He's been in the lineup for all four games to start the new campaign and has hit fifth in the lineup when facing right-handed pitchers. McMahon has only three hits through 17 at-bats, though all of them have gone for extra bases. He's also chipped in a stolen base.
