Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Steals 19th base

Hayes went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Friday against the Cardinals.

Hayes reached base on a single in the eighth inning and proceeded to steal second base. He has 19 stolen bases on the season, five of which have come across 21 games in September. For the season, Hayes has maintained a disappointing .246/.316/.350 line across 544 plate appearances.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Hits solo homer

Riley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 win over the Mets.

Riley was the first of back-to-back homers with Matt Olson in the second inning Friday, putting Atlanta on the board. Riley has 38 homers on the year, which has him tied with Mike Trout for fourth in baseball. It was Riley's sixth homer in September. The third baseman has struggled this month, batting .206 with 28 strikeouts. During that span, his season batting average dropped from .289 to .275.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Mashes out of slump

Longoria went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Longoria hadn't homered since Aug. 23, going 26 games without a long ball. He had just two multi-hit efforts in that span, but he ended the quiet stretch with a massive performance. He knocked a go-ahead three-run blast in the first inning and tacked on a two-run shot in the second. Longoria is up to 14 homers, 41 RBI, 31 runs scored and 13 doubles through 88 contests this year.

  • Buddy Kennedy 3B | SEA

Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Back in majors

Kennedy was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Kennedy, who turns 24 on the final day of the regular season, slashed .261/.363/.385 with seven home runs in 93 games at Triple-A this season and has a .626 OPS through 80 at-bats in the majors. This is the corresponding move to Ketel Marte going on the injured list, so Kennedy could see time at second base over the final days of the season.

  • Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN

Reds' Matt Reynolds: Not starting Friday

Reynolds isn't in the lineup Friday against the Cubs.

Reynolds started six of the last seven games and went 4-for-17 with a double, an RBI, four walks and six strikeouts. He'll get a breather since Donovan Solano is starting at first base and batting fifth in his return to the lineup.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Doubles twice Thursday

Wisdom went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Phillies.

Wisdom had two of his team's seven hits, leading the Cubs to a 2-0 victory. The infielder is batting just .212 this season with a strikeout rate of 33.7 percent, though he's provided decent fantasy value with 25 home runs, 27 doubles and 66 RBI across 130 games. This was his first multi-hit game since Aug. 14.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Retreats to bench Thursday

McMahon isn't starting Thursday against the Giants, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Carries offense with five RBI

Escobar went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Marlins.

Escobar put the team on his back Wednesday with a two-run homer off lefty starter Jesus Luzardo in the seventh inning, a two-run single to tie the game in the eighth and a walk-off RBI single in the 10th. The third baseman has accumulated nine multi-hit games in his last 20, including two three-hit games in his last three contests. In addition, the 33-year-old has tallied 11 RBI over his last five games.

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

Reds' Kyle Farmer: Launches 14th homer

Farmer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday against the Pirates.

Farmer took Chase De Jong deep in the ninth inning for his 14th homer of the season. Six of those long balls have come in September, and Farmer has also tacked on 17 RBI and 10 runs scored for the month. Despite the hot stretch, Farmer still has a pedestrian .255/.315/.390 line across 560 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Sits after team clinches division

Arenado is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Arenado is one of several Cardinals regulars getting the day off for the series finale after St. Louis clinched the National League Central title with a 6-2 win Tuesday. Juan Yepez will fill in for Arenado at third base.
