Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: May return in early August
Manager Bruce Bochy said Longoria (foot) could rejoin the Giants in 10-14 days, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Giants previously indicated Longoria could be activated during the current road trip -- which runs through Aug. 4 -- but that no longer appears to be the case. The veteran third baseman moved to the injured list in mid-July with a strained plantar fascia in his left foot, and he only just began a running program Saturday. Pablo Sandoval will continue to see the bulk of starts at third base.

Braves' Austin Riley: Sitting again Saturday
Riley is not in the lineup Saturday against the Phillies.
Riley is hitting just .169 with a 41.5 percent strikeout rate this month (18 games), so he'll head to the bench for the third time in as many games as Ender Inciarte picks up another start in the outfield in his stead.

Braves' Austin Riley: Out of Friday's lineup
Riley is not in the lineup for Friday's game at Philadelphia.
Riley is on the bench for the second straight contest and for the fourth time in the last seven games. The Braves undoubtedly want to get the young slugger back on track -- he's hitting .172 with a 41.3 percent strikeout rate in July -- but Ender Inciate will start again in the outfield Friday.

Phillies' Jean Segura: Rejoins lineup Friday
Segura (heel) is starting at shortstop and batting second Friday versus the Braves.
Segura was held out of the lineup the last two games after exiting Sunday's contest with heel soreness, but he's ready to go for Friday's series opener. The 29-year-old is off to a slow start in the second half with a .515 OPS in 32 at-bats.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Remains sidelined Friday
Senzel (illness) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies.
Senzel was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Brewers after experiencing dizziness during his first at-bat. The 24-year-old has battled vertigo throughout his career, so it's not a major surprise to see him receive some additional time off. Josh VanMeter, Jesse Winker and Yasiel Puig will start in the outfield from left to right for the Reds. According to Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer, Senzel felt a bit better Friday morning and may be available off the bench.
