Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Beginning rehab assignment Thursday
Rendon (toe) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Potomac on Thursday, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
Depending on how his toe feels, Rendon will either spend one or two games in the minors. As such, Rendon could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday. Either way, it seems like third baseman's activation from the disabled list is imminent.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Goes deep Tuesday
Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Cubs.
Arenado hit the last of three home runs off Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks, getting just enough of a hanging curveball to send it over the fence. It was his fifth home run of the year and first since April 23. He's been in a slump recently, recording just four hits in 23 at-bats, yet he still has a .957 OPS through 91 at-bats on the season.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Out of lineup again Tuesday
Asuaje is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.
For the second consecutive game the Padres have decided to withhold Asuaje from the starting lineup. After 30 games he owns an unimpressive .198/.274/.302 line. Jose Pirela will start at second base and hit cleanup while Asuaje heads to the bench.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Approaching rehab assignment
Rendon (toe) is expected to begin a rehab assignment in the coming days, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
There had been some hope that Rendon would be ready to begin his rehab assignment Tuesday. However, it looks like the Nationals want Rendon to have a bit more time to ensure that his toe is fully healthy after he went through a series of rigorous workouts over the weekend. With this latest news, Rendon looks to be on track to come off the disabled list at some point next week.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Sent back to Triple-A
McMahon was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
McMahon hit just .180/.317/.200 in 60 plate appearances for the Rockies, striking out 36.7 percent of the time. Better things were expected from one of the Rockies' top prospects, but he never got the consistent playing time he needed to get his bat going. Daniel Castro was called up to take his place on the roster.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Homers in return to lineup
Senzel (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks for Triple-A Louisville in the club's 7-2 win over Columbus on Monday.
Senzel ended up missing just one game with the shoulder injury, which he suffered while diving for a ball Saturday. The home run -- Senzel's third of the season -- suggests the injury won't inhibit his power production moving forward, keeping the 22-year-old in line for a promotion to the big leagues at some point later in the campaign.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Swats second homer Monday
Anderson went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Monday's win over the Phillies.
The homer was his second of the season. The 24-year-old's now gone 5-for-16 since getting bumped out of the starting spot at third base by the return of Martin Prado -- manager Don Mattingly continues to give Anderson regular playing time in right field. He doesn't have a lot of home run upside, but his 16 RBI in 28 games leads the Marlins.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Cranks solo shot Monday
Muncy went 1-for-4 with his second home run of the season in Monday's 8-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Muncy should see regular at-bats at the hot corner against righties until either Logan Forsythe (shoulder) or Justin Turner (wrist) return, with Enrique Hernandez being needed in the outfield following Corey Seager's placement on the disabled list with a season-ending elbow injury. The 27-year-old hasn't been able to replicate last year's success with Triple-A Oklahoma (.309/.414/.563), but he could be a short-term source of power in deeper formats with three of his six hits this season going for extra bases.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Out of lineup Monday
Asuaje is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.
Asuaje, who is hitting just .200/.276/.305 through 29 games this season, will head to the bench for the second time in three games as he continues to get squeezed for playing time. Jose Pirela will once again start at second base, with Franchy Cordero starting in left field.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: May start rehab stint Tuesday
Rendon (toe) could embark on a rehab assignment as soon as Tuesday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
This certainly seems like a step in the right direction at face value, though the third baseman was reportedly sore Sunday after a vigorous workout Saturday. The team may opt to continue taking the cautious approach with Rendon, so it seems like he won't be back in the lineup until later this week at the earliest.
