Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Withheld from Sunday lineup
Rendon is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies.
The Nationals are giving many of their regular starters the day off Sunday, and Rendon is no exception. He'll give way to Adrian Sanchez at the hot corner. With no game scheduled for Monday, look for Rendon to return Tuesday against the Braves.

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Recalled from minors
Vargas was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Saturday, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports.
With Reno bounced from the Triple-A playoffs, Vargas will join the Diamondbacks' expanded September roster. Vargas can help out all around the infield, but it's difficult to imagine his bat will ever play well outside of the Pacific Coast League. He hit just .267/.316/.360 in two seasons at the Double-A level.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Dodgers' Kyle Farmer: Rejoins major-league team
Farmer was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
While Farmer put together a fine season in the minors, slashing .317/.375/.476 with 10 homers between Double-A and Triple-A, he will likely only see sporadic opportunities. A catcher by trade, Farmer also played a decent amount of third base this year, but it's hard to imagine he will play there much (if at all) with the big club.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Powers offense with homer off Kershaw
Arenado went 2-for-3 with two walks, a homer and four RBI in Thursday's win over the Dodgers.
Arenado entered play Thursday with a .311 career average against Clayton Kershaw, and he got the better of the Dodgers' ace again with a three-run homer in the first inning. He's now up to 116 RBI (most in baseball), putting him on pace to reach 130 RBI for the third straight season.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Gets breather Thursday
Rendon is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
Rendon will head to the bench for a breather after starting five straight games at the hot corner, going 5-for-20 (.250) with a homer and five RBI over that span. Wilmer Difo will draw the start at third base in his place, batting second.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Three hits in Tuesday's win
Arenado went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Giants.
Arenado's always a threat when the opposition puts a lefty on the mound and he didn't disappoint those who trusted him here against Ty Blach. He drove in a run with a sixth-inning double while crossing the plate himself in the sixth and seventh frames. This effort gave Arenado a share of the league RBI lead, propelling him back up into a tie with Giancarlo Stanton at 112 apiece.

Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Cubs' Jason Vosler: Paces Double-A team in home runs, RBI
Vosler led Double-A Tennessee with 21 home runs and 81 RBI this season.
Vosler played 129 games for the Smokies and slashed .241/.343/.429. With the trades of Jeimer Candelario and Eloy Jimenez this season, Vosler has moved into the discussion as one of the Cubs' top-10 hitting prospects. The 23-year-old is blocked by Kris Bryant at third, so a position change may be necessary to make it to the big leagues, at least without switching organizations.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Plates four in win
Rendon went 3-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and four RBI during Monday's win over Miami.
It'll be tough to top Rendon's monster 2014 campaign, but he's really taking a run at doing so this year. He's now up to a .304/.404/.544 slash line with 23 homers, 90 RBI, seven stolen bases and 69 runs. If it wasn't for an underwhelming August (one home run with a .764 OPS), a career-best showing might have been in the cards.
