  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Day off Saturday

Suarez was not in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Suarez will receive a standard day off after starting the past 12 games at the hot corner. In his place, Scooter Gennett slides over to cover third while batting fifth in the order.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Hits fourth homer

LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored during Friday's win over the White Sox.

After posting a .348 batting average and a .911 OPS last season, LeMahieu has dipped to .308 and .755 marks this year. He's still providing serviceable fantasy numbers with four homers, 41 RBI, four stolen bases and 46 runs, and it shouldn't be a shock that he failed to fully follow up his 2016 breakout. However, a strong second half could be ahead, and LeMahieu also has the Coors Field boost working in his favor.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Plates five runs in win

Arenado went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored during Friday's win over the White Sox.

Arenado has perhaps not quite met expectations this season. However, it wouldn't be shocking if Friday's outburst was a sign of what's ahead in the second half. There could be a few buy-low opportunities still lingering, and Arenado's reliability makes him all the more valuable -- especially for contending fantasy clubs. After all, he's now sporting a .302/.352/.552 slash line with 16 homers, 68 RBI and 54 runs, and that's considered a bit of a disappointment.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Braves' Jace Peterson: Recalled by Braves

Peterson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Peterson's whirlwind season continues as he makes his third big-league stint after being sent down to Triple-A on Tuesday. The utility infielder is batting just .183 with 32 strikeouts in 47 games this season and will likely serve as a bench bat until Danny Santana (infection) is able to return to action.

  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Three hits Thursday at Coors Field

Suarez went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI in Thursday's 6-3 win over Colorado.

Suarez drove in his 44th run of the season on a fifth-inning single then came around to score for the 47th time in the eighth. His .446 slugging percentage is exactly in line with Suarez's 2015 mark, but his .363 OBP following this performance is easily a career best. That improvement is likely sustainable given that the infielder sports a career-high 12.4 percent walk rate and a .312 BABIP that's .004 lower than his career mark.

  • Yadiel Rivera 3B | MIL

Brewers' Yadiel Rivera: Recalled from Colorado Springs

Rivera was called up by the Brewers on Thursday.

The team placed Eric Sogard on the disabled list with an ankle injury prior to Thursday's game against the Cubs, bringing Rivera up for his first major-league call-up of the season. Rivera will provide infield depth while Sogard recovers, but hasn't exactly been tearing it up at the Triple-A level with Colorado Springs this season, batting just .238/.296/.337 in 71 games this year.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Returns to lineup Thursday

LeMahieu (groin) will be back in the lineup for Thursday's afternoon game against Cincinnati, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

LeMahieu makes his return to the field after missing the past two games, and five of the previous seven while dealing with a groin injury. During the two games in between, the second baseman went 5-for-9 at the plate, and appears good to go after being available to serve as a pinch hitter Wednesday. LeMahieu is back at his normal position while batting second for Thursday's contest.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Day off Thursday

Arenado is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

Arenado will get a rare day off for the first time since June 11. The All-Star has been swinging the bat well all year, and is hitting .308/.364/.359 over the course of the last 10 games. He will likely be back in the lineup for the series opener against the White Sox on Friday.

  • Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD

Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Produces three-hit game

Asuaje went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI against the Indians on Wednesday.

Thanks to the tiny sample size, this performance lifted Asuaje's batting average all the way from .265 to .316. He's been seeing regular time lately, but Asuaje is mostly a contact hitter with marginal power and speed.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Still bothered by groin injury

LeMahieu continues to be nagged by the groin injury that sidelined him over the weekend, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Saunders did add that LeMahieu is available to pitch hit if need be, although it seems that the Rockies tried to rush him back into action too quickly. Due to this apparent setback, it wouldn't be too surprising to see the second baseman sit out a couple more games in order to fully heal his ailment. Consider him day-to-day for now, as Alexi Amarista continues to man the keystone in his stead.
