Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Swats sixth home run
Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in a 7-4 loss to the Rockies on Tuesday.
Muncy took Kyle Freeland deep with a second-deck blast in the sixth inning and later doubled to make it a multi-hit effort. The 31-year-old left-handed batter is walking at an 18.6% rate and has a respectable .325 OBP despite batting only .167 on the season.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Big game in return
Moncada went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Angels.
Moncada made his return from the injured list Tuesday and appeared in his 30th game of the season. He delivered a two-RBI double in the eighth inning, marking only his seventh extra-base hit across 118 plate appearances on the campaign. Moncada is hitting a disastrous .189/.237/.306, but he should improve those marks if he can remain on the field more consistently across the second half of the season.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Not starting Wednesday
Escobar isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros.
Escobar went 1-for-14 with an RBI, a walk and five strikeouts over the last four games and will get a chance to reset Wednesday. Luis Guillorme is shifting to third base while Jeff McNeil starts at the keystone.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Brewers' Jace Peterson: Not starting against lefty
Peterson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
With southpaw Jalen Beeks on the bump for Tampa Bay, the lefty-hitting Peterson will head to the bench after starting in six of the past seven games. Peterson looks as though he'll still play fairly regularly against right-handed pitching, though he's expected to see most of his opportunities in right field moving forward now that the Brewers are back to full strength in the infield after Kolten Wong returned from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
-
Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Tallies three hits
Bregman went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI on Tuesday against the Mets.
Bregman was part of a four-run rally for the Astros in the first inning, delivering an RBI single and coming around to score on a three-run home run by Kyle Tucker. Bregman is hitting .412 with three homers, eight RBI and nine runs scored across his last 10 starts. He is still hitting only .242 on the season, though his .772 OPS is in line with his performance in recent campaigns.

Buddy Kennedy 3B | SF
Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Involved in comeback win
Kennedy went 1-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a hit-by-pitch in Tuesday's 7-6 win over San Diego.
Kennedy drove in two runs during Arizona's four-run seventh inning and knocked in another when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the eighth. He was an integral component to the Diamondbacks erasing a six-run deficit with seven runs over the final three innings. Kennedy continues to get starts at second base while Ketel Marte works his way back from a hamstring injury that's limited him to designated-hitter duty.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Not starting Tuesday
Machado (ankle) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
It was reported earlier in the day that Machado was expected to be in the lineup or available off the bench, but he won't end up being in the starting nine. The 29-year-old hasn't seen the field since June 19, when he sustained the left ankle sprain, and he's out of the lineup Tuesday for the eighth straight contest. Machado could still make an appearance off the bench and should continue to be considered day-to-day.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Brewers' Jace Peterson: Could see steady run in right field
Peterson will start in right field and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Rays.
Kolten Wong's (calf) return from the injured list Tuesday puts the Brewers back to full strength in the infield, but Peterson's ability to handle either corner-outfield spot could allow him to hold down a strong-side platoon role while Hunter Renfroe (hamstring) remains on the IL. The lefty-hitting Peterson will stick in the lineup with right-hander Shane Baz on the mound for Tampa Bay, while the righty-hitting Jonathan Davis -- who started in each of the past four games -- finds himself on the bench with Wong back in action.
-
Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Sits again Tuesday
Burger is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Angels.
He was also out of the lineup Monday, so that makes it two days in a row that Burger has sat against a right-handed pitcher. The lefty-hitting Gavin Sheets drew the start both days, so while Burger has been productive this season, he may be on the short side of a platoon for now.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Takes seat Tuesday
McMahon is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
The 27-year-old started the past nine games and will head to the bench Tuesday amid a 1-for-14 slump. Elehuris Montero will start at the hot corner and bat ninth in McMahon's place.
