  • Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Scores run in return

Kennedy (wrist) went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Tigers.

Kennedy missed two games with left wrist discomfort, but he was able to play a full game at second base Saturday. He has a home run, four RBI, four runs scored and a triple through 22 plate appearances in his first seven big-league games. Kennedy should continue to compete with Jake Hager for playing time at second base until Ketel Marte, who is serving as the designated hitter while recovering from a hamstring injury, is ready to return to the field.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Drives in three Saturday

Paredes went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and three RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Pirates.

Paredes singled in the bottom of the sixth before launching a solo homer off Chase De Jong in the bottom of the eighth frame. He later delivered a walkoff two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Rays the 6-5 victory. The long ball was the 23-year-old's 10th of the season and he has now gone deep in three straight games, delivering five homers and eight RBI over those contests. Paredes is now batting .232 with 10 home runs, 20 RBI and 17 runs over 95 at-bats in 33 games this year.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Notches fifth steal

Senzel went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the Giants.

Senzel knocked in the opening run and stole a base in the second inning, but the Giants took over after that. After enduring a 2-for-18 skid, Senzel has gone 5-for-10 with a double, three RBI, three steals and two runs scored in his last three contests. The outfielder still has plenty to prove -- he's slashing .222/.275/.272 with one home run, 11 RBI, 19 runs scored, five steals and five doubles across 171 plate appearances this season, but he's finally trending in the right direction again.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Homers in consecutive contests

Longoria went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Reds.

Longoria has homered in consecutive games and he's hit safely in six straight, going 8-for-21 (.381) during the streak. The third baseman tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning with his blast before adding a sac fly in the third for the Giants' fourth run. Longoria had another short burst of power in late May before suffering a minor shoulder injury, but it looks like he's back in a groove. He's batting .241 with an .801 OPS, seven homers, 15 RBI, 14 runs scored and five doubles through 122 plate appearances this year, and he should command a majority of the starts at the hot corner, though the 36-year-old is likely to get routine rest.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Not in Saturday's lineup

Duffy isn't starting Saturday against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Duffy will get a breather after he went 3-for-16 with a double, a walk and four strikeouts over the last four games. Tyler Wade is starting at the hot corner and batting eighth.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Remains out of lineup

Machado (ankle) isn't starting Saturday's game against the Phillies, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Machado is out of the lineup for a sixth consecutive game, but he plans to participate in batting practice ahead of Saturday's matchup, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. The 29-year-old also took part in a light workout Thursday and remains day-to-day for now. Ha-Seong Kim is shifting to third base while CJ Abrams starts at shortstop Saturday.

  • Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Back in action Saturday

Kennedy (wrist) is starting Saturday against the Tigers.

Kennedy was out of the lineup in the last two games due to left wrist discomfort, but he appeared as a pinch hitter Friday and went 0-for-1 with a strikeout. He's starting at second base and batting sixth Saturday.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Steps out of lineup

Muncy is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Brewers' Jace Peterson: On bench versus southpaw

Peterson is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Peterson started the past four games and went 2-for-13 with an RBI, a run and six strikeouts, and he'll take a seat Saturday with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi on the mound for Toronto. Mike Brosseau will man the hot corner and bat sixth for Milwaukee.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Sitting again Saturday

Hayes (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

The 25-year-old will be withheld from the lineup for the second straight game after suffering the left shoulder injury on a collision at home pate Thursday. Hayes avoided a serious injury but is dealing with some soreness, so he should be considered day-to-day. While he hasn't yet resumed swinging, he felt better Saturday and fielded grounders prior to the game, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports. Hoy Park will man the hot corner Saturday for Pittsburgh.
