Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Exits with groin tightness
Madrigal was removed from Friday's loss to the Yankees due to groin tightness, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Madrigal started Friday's matchup and went 2-for-5 with a strikeout prior to his departure in the bottom of the 12th inning. He should tentatively be considered day-to-day, but Andrelton Simmons and Jonathan Villar are likely in line for additional playing time if Madrigal misses time.

Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH
Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Added to Friday's lineup
Nevin was added to the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
Nevin was initially slated to get a day off Friday. However, he'll start at the hot corner and bat eighth after Ramon Urias (undisclosed) was a late scratch.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Late scratch Friday
Urias was scratched from the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals for an undisclosed reason, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
The Orioles haven't yet provided a reason for removing Urias from the lineup minutes before the start of the game. Tyler Nevin will start at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Activated, starting Friday
Rendon (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting Friday against the Mets, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Rendon resumed hitting in a cage while also taking groundballs recently, and he's been cleared to start at third base during Friday's series opener against the Mets. The 32-year-old was sidelined since May 27 but will reclaim his job as the Angels' everyday third baseman now that he's been activated. Over 41 games prior to his absence, he slashed .242/.335/.403 with five homers, 23 RBI, 15 runs and two stolen bases.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Dealing with mild disc bulge
Anderson (back) is dealing with a mild disc bulge in his lumbar spine, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Anderson has been sidelined since May 28, and he underwent an MRI on Tuesday that helped to clarify his diagnosis. The 29-year-old doesn't yet have a timetable to resume baseball activities, but Jon Berti should continue to serve as the primary third baseman while Anderson and Joey Wendle (hamstring) are unavailable.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Suffers torn ACL, out for season
Lewis has been diagnosed with a partially torn right ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Lewis also sustained a torn right ACL in February of 2021, and he carries a return timetable of approximately 12 months after sustaining the same injury last week. It's a devastating blow for the 23-year-old, who made his major-league debut in May and slashed .300/.317/.550 with two homers, five runs and five RBI over 12 games with the Twins. It seems unlikely that Lewis will be able to handle much work during spring training in 2023, but he'll attempt to return to the field by next summer.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Could return Monday
Moustakas (illness) could return for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Moustakas has been on the COVID-19 injured list since Monday, but he'll have a chance to return to game action after missing just a week. Even if he isn't ready to play in time for Monday's series opener in Arizona, it seems likely that the 33-year-old will be back in action sometime next week.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Nabs first steal
Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a double, a run, an RBI and a stolen base Thursday in a 10-7 win against the Twins.
Donaldson knocked in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, and he collected a pair of hits in the offense-heavy affair. In the seventh, the veteran singled and stole second base for his first theft since the 2019 season. Donaldson has followed a six-game hitless streak with a modest four-game hitting streak, and he is batting .313 (5-for-16) over the latter stretch.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Good to go
Burger (leg) will bat fifth and serve as the designated hitter Friday against the Rangers.
Burger exited late in Thursday's game against the Dodgers due to an apparent leg injury, but whatever was ailing him evidently wasn't particularly serious. He's been in great form recently, going 8-for-16 with three homers across his last five games, so it's great news for the White Sox that he won't miss any time.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Sitting again Friday
Senzel (back) is out of the lineup for Friday's game at St. Louis.
Senzel is sitting out for the third straight game after being scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a lower-back strain. However, manager David Bell said that the 26-year-old could be available off the bench, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. With Albert Almora (shoulder) also dealing with an injury, Tommy Pham, TJ Friedl and Aristides Aquino will start from left to right in the outfield Friday.
