Hayes is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Hayes ran into the left field wall in Friday's contest, and although he did not leave the game, he may not be feeling 100 percent. No injury has been reported, though, so Hayes will likely be available to pinch hit Saturday if needed. Michael Chavis will man the hot corner in his place.

Madrigal is not in Saturday's lineup against the Pirates.

Patrick Wisdom gets the start at third base with Jonathan Villar shifting to second base. Madrigal is hitting .227 with zero home runs and zero steals in 44 at-bats.

Rendon went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Orioles.

He took Bruce Zimmermann deep in the seventh inning, but it was the last gasp of offense for the Angels on the night. Rendon is still looking to build some momentum at the plate, slashing .205/.319/.359 through 11 games with two homers and six RBI. The home run was his second of the season and his first since April 12.

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two additional RBI and two walks in Friday's 6-1 win against the Padres.

Muncy walked in the first and third innings, homered in the fifth to give Los Angeles the lead and singled home two more runs in the seventh to provide valuable insurance. The base knocks snapped a three-game hitless stretch for the infielder, who has been drawing walks but hasn't had much luck when putting the ball in play to the tune of a .167/.352/.357 slash line.

Burger went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday's loss to the Twins.

Burger had a tough night at the plate, as he struck out looking with the bases loaded to end the game. Though he began the season with a pair of multi-hit performances across five starts, Burger now has just one hit across his last 15 at-bats. If his struggles continue, Burger may lose playing time once Josh Harrison (shoulder) is able to return to the lineup.

Newman went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base Friday against the Cubs.

Newman tallied his only hit of the game in the second inning. He then proceeded to steal second base -- his first of the season -- and came around to score on a base hit by Roberto Perez. Newman has been in the Pirates' lineup four times in the last five matchups, and he's recorded three hits in 16 at-bats with two runs scored in that span.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-3 win Friday in Tampa Bay.

Devers homered to leadoff the third inning against Corey Kluber. The third baseman has reached base safely in 13 of the first 14 games this season and has seven extra-base hits. The 25-year-old hit 30 home runs and drove in over 100 in each of the last two full seasons and was on pace to reach those milestones in the COVID-shortened 2020 season. While it's still very early in this season, he's on track for a third 30-homer, 100-RBI campaign.

Moncada (oblique) swung in a batting cage Friday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Moncada has yet to play a game this season while dealing with an oblique strain. He took light swings earlier in the week but has now advanced to "healthy" swings, per Van Schouwen's report. The third baseman still doesn't have a clear timetable for his return, however, and he'll likely need a rehab stint before being activated.

Suarez went 1-for-3 with an RBI single, two walks and a run in a loss to the Rangers on Thursday.

Suarez's clutch eighth-inning knock brought home Adam Frazier to tie the game at 6-6, but the Rangers would ultimately notch a pair of runs in the top of the ninth to seal the win. Suarez has three home runs and has seen six of his eight hits overall go for extra bases, but his .186 average and .300 on-base percentage are in line with his career-worst .198 and .286 figures for the Reds in 2021.

Peterson isn't starting Friday's game against the Phillies.

Peterson started in the last four games and went 2-for-11 with a run, two walks and three strikeouts. Mike Brosseau will start at the hot corner and bat eighth.
