Devers went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's win over the Indians.

Devers hit a solo shot -- his 18th of the year -- in the sixth inning and slashed an RBI single in the seventh. Devers has had back-to-back multi-hit games but is still hitting just .242 in 11 games since coming off the disabled list from a left hamstring strain. On the season the 21-year-old is slashing .242/.297/.422 with 22 doubles, 58 RBI and 55 runs in 113 games.

Muncy is not in Friday's starting lineup against the Padres, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Muncy will get the night off with lefty Eric Lauer slated to take the mound for San Diego. David Freese is penciled into the lineup at first base and will bat fourth.

Candelario (back) remains on the bench Friday against the Royals, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Candelario exited Tuesday's game with back spasms and has yet to appear in a game since. Ronny Rodriguez gets the start at third base Friday.

Devers went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Thursday's 11-6 win over the Yankees.

Devers didn't play in the first two games of the series in New York but was in the lineup at third base for Thursday's finale with Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) unavailable. Nunez's injury is expected to sideline him until early next week, so Devers is in line for consistent at-bats at least through the weekend. He's 6-for-28 since coming off the disabled list earlier this month but has hits in four of the last five games, so there's some evidence the bat is coming around. Manager Alex Cora could also use Brock Holt at third while Nunez rehabs.

Rendon went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run, one run scored and three RBI on Thursday against the Mets.

Rendon took Jason Vargas deep in the fifth inning to record his 22nd home run of the season and third in his past four games. Though the Nationals' offense has taken a step back this season, Rendon continues to exhibit strong individual skills, hitting .304/.369/.522 across 496 at-bats this campaign.

Moncada went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Thursday's victory over Cleveland.

Moncada scored a run in the first inning before knocking a two-run double in the next frame. With Thursday's big night at the plate, the 23-year-old is up to 60 RBI and 51 extra-base hits in his first full MLB season.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI on Thursday against the Angels.

Chapman got the Athletics' offensive barrage started Thursday, doubling in both of his runs in the second inning against Matt Shoemaker. He now has an impressive 41 doubles this season, the foundation for his .519 slugging percentage -- a mark good enough for 10th in the American League. It's been an impressive sophomore campaign for Chapman, and he appears on track to end it positively, now racking up four multi-hit games in his last eight starts.

Candelario (back) is out of the lineup against Kansas City on Thursday, Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reports.

Candelario will remain sidelined for a second straight day as he continues to nurse a back issue that popped up during Tuesday's game. Ronny Rodriguez will draw another start at the hot corner in his place.

Donaldson is not in the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson will take a seat for Thursday's series finale after starting the last three games, going 1-for-9 with three walks and a run scored over that stretch. Yandy Diaz will cover third base and hit sixth in his place.

Anderson is not in the lineup versus Cincinnati on Thursday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Anderson will receive a breather after going 1-for-8 with five strikeouts during a two-game set against the Nationals this week. Miguel Rojas will pick up a start at the hot corner for the series opener.
