Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Angels' Eduardo Escobar: Not starting Tuesday
Escobar is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Tampa Bay, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Escobar has operated as the Halos' primary third baseman over the past couple weeks but will sit Tuesday while in the midst of a 1-for-15 slump. David Fletcher will take over at the hot corner and bat ninth.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Not in lineup Tuesday
Marte is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Twins.
Marte had made two consecutive starts at third base for the Reds, but Christian Encarnacion-Strand will get the nod there Tuesday as Elly De La Cruz covers shortstop. Marte, 21, is sitting on an impressive .304/.368/.405 batting line through his first 87 major-league plate appearances.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: On base four times in win
Suarez went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and two walks in a win over the Athletics on Monday.
Suarez came through with what is already his fourth multi-hit effort in 12 September games while pushing his season OBP back up to a respectable .325 with the four trips to the basepaths. The veteran's ninth-inning knock also produced his 89th RBI of the season, his highest tally in that category since a 2019 campaign with the Reds when he compiled 103, the second-highest figure of his career.

Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Three hits, three runs in win
Henderson went 3-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored in Monday's 8-7 win over the Astros.
Three was Henderson's lucky number Monday, as he logged his fourth three-hit effort of September. His solid hitting atop the lineup paid off each time as the Orioles brought him home three times in a back-and-forth contest. Henderson is batting .313 with a .958 OPS in September, and he's up to a .261/.329/.503 slash line with 27 home runs, 79 RBI, 94 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 26 doubles and nine triples over 139 contests this season.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Logs hit in return
Jung started at third base and went 1-for-4 in Monday's 4-2 loss to Boston.
Earlier Monday, Jung was activated from the injured list, where he spent six weeks due to a thumb injury. There was no easing him back into the lineup as a designated hitter, as the rookie took his usual position at the hot corner.

Eguy Rosario 3B | SD
Padres' Eguy Rosario: Lifts second homer
Rosario went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Monday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Rosario has gone 5-for-19 (.263) over his first five games this season, and two of those hits have been homers. This was also his first multi-RBI effort in his career. The infielder has carved out some playing time at third base, sharing the hot corner with Matthew Batten, since Manny Machado (elbow) has been unable to play the field. There's no platoon situation here, but Rosario seems set to be in the lineup about half of the time down the stretch, and perhaps more if Batten has to continue filling in for Ha-Seong Kim (abdomen) at second base.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Earns 12th steal
Gelof went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 5-0 loss to the Mariners.
Gelof has continued to hit well in September, going 18-for-63 (.286) with two home runs and three steals over 16 contests this month. The second baseman has picked up two of those steals over his last four games. He's up to a .269/.339/.520 slash line with 12 homers, 12 thefts, 26 RBI and 34 runs scored through 57 games this season.
-
Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Knocks another homer
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss against the Reds.
Lewis took Connor Phillips deep for a monstrous 424-foot solo homer in the fourth inning. The former No. 1 pick continues his scorching September, during which he has hit .313 with six homers, 23 RBI and 15 runs over 64 at-bats. Lewis is slashing .308/.364/.551 on the season.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Elbow surgery looking likely
Machado will likely require surgery on his ailing right elbow, and he could undergo the procedure before the campaign comes to a close, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Machado will serve as the designated hitter in Monday's game against the Rockies, so he will not shut things down immediately and will presumably continue playing as long as the Padres remain in playoff contention. However, his season could come to an early end at some point, and if he undergoes the procedure his absence could extend into next season, as according to Marty Caswell of Sports 760 he would likely be looking at a 6-to-7 month recovery timetable.
