Francisco Mejia C | TB
Indians' Francisco Mejia: Returns from DL
Mejia (groin) was activated from the minor-league DL at Double-A Akron on Friday.
The Tribe's top prospect wasted no time making his presence felt upon returning to the RubberDucks lineup. Over the weekend, the 21-year-old went 3-for-6 with a double, two homers and three RBI. Mejia is slashing .307/.344/.534 through his first 23 games in the Eastern League.

Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Red Sox's Christian Vazquez: Has three base knocks in win
Vazquez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Athletics.
Despite hitting .329 on the season, Vazquez has slumped in May and continues to lose valuable playing time to hot-hitting Sandy Leon. A career-high .400 BABIP for Vazquez also points to likely regression. He's strictly a fantasy asset in two-catcher or deep AL-only leagues while hitting in a strong Boston lineup.

Omar Narvaez C | HOU
White Sox's Omar Narvaez: Out of lineup Sunday
Narvaez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The White Sox continue to implement a timeshare behind the plate with Narvaez and Kevan Smith with Geovany Soto on the 60-day disabled list. Narvaez will head to the bench Sunday with Smith drawing the start.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Yankees' Gary Sanchez: Suits up Sunday
Sanchez (face) is in the Yankees' lineup behind the plate and batting second against the Rays on Sunday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Sanchez's availability for Sunday's matinee against the Rays was in question after he took a foul ball off his face mask during Saturday's contest. The slugging backstop experienced some discomfort in his jaw and ear, but it apparently wasn't enough to keep him out of the lineup Sunday. He'll look to build upon his five-game hitting streak.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Yankees' Gary Sanchez: Hit by foul ball Saturday
Sanchez experienced pain in his face after a foul ball struck his mask Saturday, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.
On the same day that he returned from a bout of neck stiffness, Sanchez was dealt a new batch of ailments. After he was struck with a foul ball, Sanchez was experiencing discomfort in his jaw and ear. At this point in time, there's no word whether or not his latest injuries will affect his availability for Sunday's game against the Rays, although he was able to stay in Saturday after being hit. If Sanchez is omitted from the lineup, Austin Romine will likely fill in behind the dish.

Mike Ohlman C | TEX
Blue Jays' Michael Ohlman: Designated for assignment
Updating a previous report, Ohlman was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Saturday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
Ohlman had been up with the Blue Jays during Russell Martin's stint on the DL, but with Martin returning Saturday, the club needed to clear a roster spot. The 26-year-old catcher will now be subject to waivers, but could return to the Blue Jays' organization if he goes unclaimed.

Mike Ohlman C | TEX
Blue Jays' Michael Ohlman: Sent down to Triple-A
Ohlman was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
Russell Martin's return from the DL will end Ohlman's stint with the big-league club for the time being. Ohlman went 2-for-9 with an RBI and three strikeouts over four games with the Blue Jays. He'll return to Buffalo, where he has seven home runs in just 69 at-bats this season.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Yankees' Gary Sanchez: Returns after neck stiffness
Manager Joe Girardi said Sanchez was held out of Friday's game due to a stiff neck, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Sanchez is back behind the plate for Saturday's game, so it doesn't appear the issue was anything major. The 24-year-old phenom has already missed time this season with a biceps strain, but he'll avoid an extended stay on the bench this time around. Sanchez will look to build on his four-game hitting streak as the Yankees face Matt Andriese and the Rays on Saturday.

Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Red Sox's Christian Vazquez: Cedes Friday's start
Vazquez is not in the lineup Friday against the Athletics, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.
Vazquez is batting below the Mendoza line in his past seven games, so he'll get a night off to get back on track. Sandy Leon will assume catching duties for the evening.

Yan Gomes C | CHC
Indians' Yan Gomes: Receives day off Friday
Gomes is not in the lineup Friday against the Astros.
Despite batting .375 over his past 14 games, Gomes will head to the bench for his second consecutive game off. Roberto Perez will fill in for him behind the plate.
