Jansen is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Jansen went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday's 16-5 loss to the Yankees. The 29-year-old catcher could be headed for the paternity list based on Brian Serven being in the Blue Jays' clubhouse on the taxi squad, per Hazel Mae of Sportsnet. Alejandro Kirk will start behind home plate Saturday and bat seventh against Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes.

Hedges went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Hedges has hit safely in his last three games, going 3-for-8 in that span. The backup catcher has had a tough time seeing steady action with Bo Naylor and David Fry both ahead of him on the depth chart. Hedges is at a .154/.188/.246 slash line with one home run, two steals, nine RBI and six runs scored over 69 plate appearances. He should not be expected to produce much offense even on the rare occasions he's in the lineup.

Fry went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Fry is 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 12 contests, adding five doubles and two RBI in that span. That's a bit less all-around production than he was showing earlier in the campaign, but it's still a solid showing. He's now at a .316/.422/.532 slash line with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, four stolen bases and 13 doubles through 60 games. Fry has mostly seen time at designated hitter and catcher recently, but he could also be an option in right field while Will Brennan (ribs) is on the injured list.

Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Langeliers entered Friday 0-for-12 with five strikeouts over his last three games. After striking out in his first at-bat, he snapped the slump with an RBI single in the third inning and added a solo shot in the ninth. The catcher is up to a .205/.259/.439 slash line with 15 homers, 41 RBI, 26 runs scored and three stolen bases over 266 plate appearances this season, with three of his homers and 12 of his RBI coming over 20 contests in June.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in Friday's 10-3 victory over the Guardians.

The veteran Royal crushed a titanic 447-foot solo homer off Triston McKenzie in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1. Perez later tallied an additional RBI with a single to drive Maikel Garcia home in the third. The 34-year-old Perez appears to be heating up this homestand, hitting .368 (7-for-19) with two homers over the past five games.

Jeffers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners.

Jeffers and Christian Vazquez have alternated catching duties throughout most of June, with Friday being Vazquez's turn behind the dish. Jeffers owns a .802 OPS and a career-best 20.8 percent K rate this season.

Naylor is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Kansas City.

Naylor has now been out of the lineup for two of the last three games and five of the last nine tilts. Austin Hedges will do the catching for Triston McKenzie in this one.

X-rays on Rutschman's right hand came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports, but the catcher is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.

Rutschman's throwing hand was hit by a foul tip early in Thursday's game versus the Rangers, although he finished the contest and even homered. He's feeling better Friday and should be fine, but the Orioles have elected to give him a day of rest. James McCann will do the catching for Albert Suarez.

Heim is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore.

Heim will get a break after starting the last four games for the Rangers, during which he went 6-for-14 with a solo home run. Andrew Knizner will take over catching duties and bat eighth.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Washington, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

The lefty-hitting Rortvedt will retreat to the bench as the Rays take on southpaw Mitchell Parker. Alex Jackson will take over catching duties and bat ninth.
