Langeliers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Mariners.

For the year, the rookie is up to a .219/.239/.406 slash line with four homers, 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple through 134 plate appearances.

Raleigh hit a solo home run in his only at-bat in Friday's 2-1 win over the Athletics.

Raleigh put an official end to the Mariners' 21-year playoff drought with his walkoff blast in the ninth inning. The catcher entered the game as a pinch hitter for Luis Torrens. Raleigh has three homers in his last six games, and he's gone deep 26 times this season. The 25-year-old has added a .208/.283/.485 slash line with 62 RBI, 45 runs scored, a stolen base, 20 doubles and a triple through 117 contests.

Heim isn't starting Friday against the Angels.

Heim has now began three of Texas' last four games in the dugout in favor of Kevin Plawecki and Sam Huff. Huff will get the nod to start behind the dish and bat seventh.

Murphy isn't in the lineup for Friday's matchup in Seattle.

After failing to record a hit in 10 tries during Oakland's last series against the Angels, Murphy will sit down to begin Friday's game against the Mariners. Shea Langeliers will take over behind the dish for Murphy, moving Jordan Diaz into the designated hitter role and opening up second base for Jonah Bride to start, batting eighth.

Grandal will hit the bench Friday against the Padres.

The White Sox are no longer in playoff contention and could rest their veterans frequently over the final few games of the season. Carlos Perez will take over behind the plate Friday.

Raleigh will be on the bench Friday against Oakland.

Raleigh will hit the bench for the second time in three games, immediately following a stretch in which he started five out of six contests. Luis Torrens will catch for Logan Gilbert on Friday.

Casali was placed on the paternity list Friday.

Casali's wife went into labor during Thursday's win over the Rangers, and the catcher will be away from the team for 1-3 days. Brian O'Keefe's contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma to provide additional depth behind the dish, while Cal Raleigh and Luis Torrens are also available to handle catching duties.

Bethancourt isn't starting Friday against Houston, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Bethancourt will get a second game off after recording a .467 OPS in the past week. Francisco Mejia will start instead behind the dish and bat sixth.

Maldonado isn't in the lineup Friday against Tampa Bay.

After going 0-for-7 in Houston's last series against the Diamondbacks, Maldonado will yield catching duties to Christian Vazquez, who will bat eighth. This is the third time Maldonado has sat after making two consecutive starts, so it seems the Astros have fallen into a pattern behind the plate they like going forward.

Haase isn't starting Friday against the Twins.

Haase has gone 2-for-8 with two runs, three walks and a strikeout over the last four matchups but will be on the bench for the third time in the last four games. Tucker Barnhart is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.
