Langeliers has been enjoying regular playing time behind the dish and at designated hitter but is still struggling to make consistent contact against big-league arms -- he's struck out at a massive 41.4 percent clip over 16 games during the month, and Thursday's multi-hit effort was his first since Sept. 1.

McGuire blasted a go-ahead homer off righty reliever Clarke Schmidt with nobody out in the seventh inning. In his last five games, the catcher has recorded seven hits with two homers and a double over 14 at-bats. Since 2020, the 27-year-old has posted a poor .423 OPS over 102 plate appearances against left-handed pitching compared to a .683 OPS over 409 plate appearances facing righties.
