Max Stassi C | SF
Angels' Max Stassi: Starting Saturday
Stassi (undisclosed) is starting Saturday against the Astros, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Stassi exited Friday's matchup against Houston as a precautionary measure, but he'll start behind the dish and bat eighth a day later. Over four games since the start of September, he's gone 1-for-10 with a run, an RBI, three walks and two strikeouts.

Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: On bench Saturday
Heim will sit Saturday against Toronto.
Heim finds himself on the bench for the third time in four games. He still owns a respectable .710 OPS on the season, but his .063/.182/.083 line over his last 17 games could cause him to continue to sit more frequently down the stretch. Sam Huff will start behind the plate.
-
Reese McGuire C | CHW
Red Sox's Reese McGuire: Still not starting
McGuire isn't in the lineup Saturday against Baltimore.
McGuire has lost out on playing time recently and will head to the bench for the fifth time in the last six games. Kevin Plawecki is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Austin Hedges C | CLE
Guardians' Austin Hedges: Goes yard Friday
Hedges went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-6 win over the Twins.
Hedges has hit safely in three of his last four games, and he's added three RBI in that span. The catcher is up to seven homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases while slashing .189/.267/.287 through 281 plate appearances.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Returns to lineup
Grandal (back) is starting Saturday against the Athletics, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Grandal was out of the lineup for the last three games, and the team revealed Friday that he was dealing with back tightness. However, he'll start behind the dish and bat eighth Saturday.

Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Launches two home runs
Haase went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and two solo home runs, totaling three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's victory over the Royals.
Haase has impressed in back-to-back games. After going 5-for-5 with two doubles and a solo shot in his last game, he picked up an RBI double and two more homers Friday. The catcher is up to 12 homers on the season. Haase extended his hitting streak to three games, going 9-for-12 and raising his season batting average from .233 to .257 over that span.

Kyle Higashioka C | TEX
Yankees' Kyle Higashioka: Launches solo shot in loss
Higashioka went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Rays.
Higashioka blasted a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to attempt a comeback, but it would not be enough as the Yankees would lose by two. The home run was Higashioka's eighth of the season in limited time. Although he has an unimpressive .205 batting average, something seems to be clicking for the catcher over his last four games. He has gone 5-for-12 (.417) and raised his average by 12 points during that span.

Max Stassi C | SF
Angels' Max Stassi: Removed for precautionary reasons
Staassi was removed from Friday's game against the Astros for precautionary reasons.
It's unclear exactly what type of injury Stassi is dealing with, but he was unable to go a full nine innings. His status will be updated when more information is available.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Bothered by sore back
Grandal was held out of Friday's lineup with back tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Grandal has not started for a few days, and the injury presumably has something to do with that. He will be available off the bench Friday, so his absence may not extend much further. However, it's not yet clear when he will be ready for a full nine innings.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Twins' Gary Sanchez: Starting Friday
Sanchez will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth Friday against the Guardians.
Although Sandy Leon is starting behind the dish Friday, the Twins will keep Sanchez in the lineup as the designated hitter. Sanchez currently holds a .688 OPS this season, but that number jumps up to .799 when he serves as Minnesota's DH.
