Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Riding pine Saturday
Trevino isn't starting Saturday's game against the Tigers.
Trevino started in three of the last four games and went 7-for-11 with two homers, a triple, five runs and five RBI. Kyle Higashioka will start behind the dish and bat eighth Saturday.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Astros' Martin Maldonado: Swats fourth homer
Maldonado went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Royals.
Maldonado is beginning to break out of his season-opening slump -- he's 5-for-14 while hitting safely in each of his last four games. He has a homer and a double in that span. The veteran catcher still has a lackluster .145/.217/.274 slash line with four long balls, 13 RBI, 16 runs scored and three doubles in 38 contests overall.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Launches solo shot
Raleigh went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.
Raleigh was the only Mariner to record multiple hits against Dane Dunning and two Rangers relievers. In the fifth inning, Raleigh swatted his fifth homer of the year. Both of the catcher's multi-hit efforts this season have come in his last seven contests. He's still batting a poor .151/.222/.384 with 10 RBI, eight runs scored and two doubles through 81 plate appearances while sharing time with Luis Torrens behind the dish with Tom Murphy (shoulder) on the injured list.

Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Red Sox's Christian Vazquez: Out of Friday's lineup
Vazquez is not in Friday's lineup against the Athletics.
He is hitting .444 with one home run and zero steals over his last 10 games. Kevin Plawecki will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

Salvador Perez C | KC
Royals' Salvador Perez: Moved to DH due to thumb
Perez is starting at designated hitter Friday against the Astros and may not be able to catch this weekend, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Kansas City reports.
He was in the Royals' original lineup at catcher but was moved to DH as his ailing thumb continues to bother him. MJ Melendez is starting at catcher in Perez's place.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Not in Friday's lineup
Kirk isn't starting Friday against the Twins.
Kirk will get a breather after he went 7-for-16 with two homers, two doubles, six runs, five RBI, two walks and two strikeouts over the last four games. Teoscar Hernandez will serve as the designated hitter while Raimel Tapia starts in right field.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: On base three times in win
Kirk went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double in Thursday's win over the White Sox.
The 23-year-old remains locked in at the plate. Kirk has five multi-hit performances in his last seven games, batting a dizzying .480 (12-for-25) over that stretch with four doubles, two homers, six RBI and nine runs scored. Danny Jansen is also raking right now, so two of Kirk's last three starts have come at DH, an arrangement that will likely remain in place until at least one of them cools down.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Takes seat for nightcap
Trevino isn't starting the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Angels.

-
Max Stassi C | SF
Angels' Max Stassi: On bench for nightcap
Stassi isn't starting the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Stassi will get a breather after he went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in Thursday's matinee. Kurt Suzuki will start behind the plate and bat seventh in the second game of the twin bill.
