Sanchez (groin) has progressed to running on a treadmill, though his timetable remains uncertain, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.

Sanchez was diagnosed with a groin strain nearly one week ago, so it's good news that he's already progressed to running. When asked about his return, Sanchez stated "maybe before the season is over. We'll see how it goes with all the exams I'm getting."

Garver is not in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.

Garver went 0-for-4 Tuesday, ending a six-game hitting streak. Jason Castro takes over behind the plate in his absence.

Narvaez is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Pirates.

Narvaez has gone 9-fo-19 with three homers over his last five games. Tom Murphy starts behind the plate in his absence.

McCann will be on the bench Wednesday in Minnesota.

McCann owns a solid .268/.333/.488 slash line over his last 11 games. Zack Collins will take over behind the plate Wednesday.

Nola went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-0 victory against the Pirates on Tuesday.

Narvaez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single in a 6-0 victory against the Pirates on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old is hitting very well, having gone 9-for-19 (.474) with three home runs in his last five games. Narvaez already has career highs in every category, and with this hot streak, he's back on track to set a new high-water mark in average too. Narvaez is hitting .284 with 22 home runs, 55 RBI and 63 runs in 405 at-bats this season.

Perez went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a walk Tuesday against the Tigers.

Perez delivered run-scoring hits in both the second and third innings, playing a big role in the team's victory Tuesday. He's produced in bunches of late, driving in 10 runs in his last 10 games while also recording five multi-hit efforts in that span. For the season, he's now hitting a surprisingly strong .240/.324/.460 across 420 plate appearances.

Murphy is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Royals.

Murphy has been on a tear to start his big-league career, hitting .400/.438/.967 with four homers in his first 10 games. Josh Phegley will start behind the plate in his absence.

Sanchez is working his way back from the groin strain which he suffered Thursday. The standard recovery timeline would have him returning right around the final few days of the regular season, though nothing's certain. The Yankees are primarily concerned with his readiness for the playoffs.

McGuire has seemingly moved ahead of Danny Jansen on the depth chart behind the plate, starting three of the last four games prior to Tuesday's contest. Jansen will start on this occasion.
