  • Braves' William Contreras: Takes seat Monday

Contreras isn't starting Monday's game against the Mets.

Contreras had started each of the last three games and went 4-for-9 with a home run, a triple, three runs and two RBI during that time. Jeff Mathis will take over behind the dish and bat eighth.

  • Pirates' Jacob Stallings: Suffers quad contusion

Stallings was removed from Sunday's game against the Giants with a bruised left quadriceps, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The 30-year-old went 1-for-3 with a run before taking a foul ball to the leg during the seventh inning. Stallings will have Monday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before potentially missing any time.

  • Keibert Ruiz C | WAS

Dodgers' Keibert Ruiz: Back in majors

Ruiz was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The 22-year-old was sent down Monday but will rejoin the Dodgers with Corey Seager (hand) landing on the injured list. Ruiz doesn't figure to see much action with Will Smith and Austin Barnes still healthy.

  • Sandy Leon C | ATL

Marlins' Sandy Leon: Out of Sunday's lineup

Leon is not in the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Leon is 3-for-26 in his past nine games and will take a seat Sunday in Los Angeles. Chad Wallach will work behind the plate for Miami in the series finale.

  • Yan Gomes C | CHC

Nationals' Yan Gomes: Day off Sunday

Gomes is not in the lineup Sunday at Arizona, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Gomes started the past three games and will take a seat for Sunday afternoon's series finale. Alex Avila will catch Sunday for Washington.

  • Will Smith C | LAD

Dodgers' Will Smith: Not starting Sunday

Smith is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith will take a seat for the day game in the series finale after going 0-for-2 with two walks Saturday. Austin Barnes will work behind the plate Sunday for Los Angeles.

  • Reds' Tucker Barnhart: Receives day off Sunday

Barnhart is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rockies.

Barnhart started the past three games and will unsurprisingly take a seat for Sunday's afternoon affair. Tyler Stephenson will work behind the plate for the Reds in the series finale.

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Not starting Sunday

Realmuto (wrist) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

The 30-year-old was removed from Saturday's game with an injured left wrist, and it's not much of a surprise to see him sitting out Sunday's series finale. Realmuto will now have two consecutive days to recover thanks to Monday's scheduled off day. Andrew Knapp will take over behind the plate for Philadelphia.

  • Pirates' Jacob Stallings: Plays hero Saturday

Stallings went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

After tying the score at 6-6 with a two-run double in the seventh inning, Stallings walked it off in the ninth with a two-run blast off Jake McGee. The catcher has put together a strong May so far, slashing .286/.359/.571 with two of his three homers on the year and seven RBI in 11 games.
