  • Omar Narvaez C | HOU

Brewers' Omar Narvaez: Belts fourth homer

Narvaez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Red Sox.

He was one of three Brewers to leave the yard on the night, with his second-inning long ball giving Milwaukee an early 2-0 lead. Narvaez will be back in the lineup for the series finale, starting behind the plate while batting eighth.

  • Tigers' Tucker Barnhart: Starting series finale

Barnhart is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Barnhart will pick up the start with Eric Haase getting a breather in the series finale. Haase has overtaken Barnhart as the team's primary catcher, largely due to his superior offensive performance. Haase has a .729 OPS and eight home runs across 64 games, while Barnhart has just a .496 OPS and no home runs across 63 games.

  • Keibert Ruiz C | WAS

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Receives Sunday off

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Ruiz started the first two games of the series and will take a breather in the finale after going 2-for-8. Tres Barrera will start behind the plate and bat ninth Sunday.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Sits in series finale

Haase is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Haase is on the bench for the second time in the series, but he still appears to have supplanted Tucker Barnhart -- who starts behind the plate Sunday -- as Option 1A at catcher for the Tigers. Though Barnhart is regarded as the superior game caller and pitch framer, Haase has sported the far more potent bat this season. Haase (.729) owns a 233-point edge in OPS over Barnhart (.496).

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Hits 10th home run

Realmuto went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Saturday.

Realmuto went deep off Mitch Keller with a solo shot in the sixth inning to tally his 10th home run of the season. The long ball punctuated a perfect night at the plate for Realmuto, who reached base four times. Realmuto has now hit double-digit home runs in every one of his eight full MLB seasons. The veteran catcher has put together an excellent .339/.411/.629 in July and will look to carry that success into the final two months of the season.

  • Joey Bart C | ATL

Giants' Joey Bart: Slugs seventh homer

Bart went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Bart didn't have an extra-base hit in his last 10 games since homering July 15. He went back-to-back with Luis Gonzalez in the fourth inning, with Bart's solo shot accounting for the margin of victory. The catcher is up to seven long balls, 14 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and three doubles through 166 plate appearances.

  • Braves' William Contreras: Slugs two homers in win

Contreras went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Contreras went yard in his first two at-bats. He hit a two-run blast in the second inning and a solo shot in the fourth. Entering Saturday, the catcher had gone just 4-for-24 with no extra-base hits in his last seven contests. The powerful display of offense in this game gives Contreras 13 homers, 26 RBI, 26 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases with a .263/.349/.551 slash line through a career-high 189 plate appearances.

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Not starting Saturday

Raleigh isn't in the lineup Saturday against Houston.

  • Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Out of Saturday's lineup

D'Arnaud is not in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.
