Barnhart will sit Tuesday against Atlanta.

Barnhart and Tyler Stephenson have been splitting time fairly evenly behind the plate for quite some time now. Stephenson will catch Sonny Gray on Tuesday, meaning both backstops have now made 12 starts behind the plate thus far in the second half.

Bart was placed on Triple-A Sacramento's 7-day injured list Saturday with a minor quadriceps strain, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Bart, who has hit .276 with two home runs and nine RBI since the Giants sent him down July 12, isn't expected to miss much time with the injury. That being said, it's unclear exactly when he'll return to minor-league action.

Soderstrom has been sidelined since July 23 after taking a foul tip to the collarbone, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.

The catching prospect was hit by the foul ball July 20, although he did play July 23 and went 2-for-5 with a home run. It's unclear what injury Soderstrom is dealing with and whether he's at all close to returning to the field for Low-A Stockton, where he's hit .306 with 12 home runs and 49 RBI in 57 games this season.

D'Arnaud (thumb) is scheduled to make his final rehab appearance for Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday before rejoining Atlanta ahead of Wednesday's contest against the Reds, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

D'Arnaud, who has gone 4-for-17 with a pair of walks through the first six games of his rehab assignment, will catch for rehabbing Atlanta pitcher Ian Anderson (shoulder) and is expected to play the full nine innings behind the dish. Assuming he incurs no setbacks with his surgically repaired left thumb, d'Arnaud will be reinstated from the 60-day injured list a day later. Even if he doesn't start for Atlanta on Wednesday, d'Arnaud should quickly displace Stephen Vogt as the team's No. 1 backstop as he returns from a three-plus-month absence. The addition of d'Arnaud should provide as shot in the arm to an Atlanta offense that will likely be missing Ronald Acuna (knee) and Marcell Ozuna (fingers) for the remainder of the season.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cubs.

With the Brewers facing a lefty (Justin Steele) in the front end of the twin bill, the lefty-hitting Narvaez will give way to the righty-hitting Manny Pina behind the dish. Expect Narvaez to catch for starting pitcher Aaron Ashby in the second game of the doubleheader.

Nola isn't starting Monday's game against Miami.

Nola has recorded hits in each of the last three games, and he's gone 4-for-7 with a double, two RBI, a run and a walk across that span. Victor Caratini will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Garver isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Garver will be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games as he works through a slump in which he's gone 1-for-15 with a solo home run and five strikeouts across his last three appearances. Ryan Jeffers will start at catcher and bat seventh.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Murphy laced a first-inning two bagger that snapped a 1-1 tie by plating Josh Harrison and Jed Lowrie. The 26-year-old backstop is on a bit of a roll offensively, as he's now reached safely in nine straight games, a stretch during which he owns an impressive .267/.405/.433 slash line and 18.9 percent walk rate across 37 plate appearances.

Hedges isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against Cincinnati.

Hedges has gone 5-for-16 with three runs, an RBI and six strikeouts across his last four appearances, and he'll be on the bench for the second time in the last three games. Wilson Ramos will start at catcher and bat seventh.

Bemboom was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Monday.

There's been a shuffling of third catchers in Los Angeles. Bemboom was designated for assignment by the Angels on Saturday after the team claimed Chad Wallach off waivers from the Dodgers, but he'll now occupy Wallach's previous role in the Dodgers' organization. His career .178/.241/.287 slash line indicates the Dodgers won't want to use him in anything other than an organizational depth role.
