Godoy went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Padres on Sunday.

Just recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Sunday's lopsided loss saw Godoy garner his first major-league RBI via his first career hit in the ninth inning. The 26-year-old catcher has put together some solid offensive performances over various minor-league stops in both the Cardinals' and Mariners' organizations, so it will be interesting to track his development now that he's finally made it to the highest level.

Diaz will start at catcher and bat eighth Monday against the Mets.

The righty-swinging Diaz will check into the lineup in favor of the lefty-swinging Dom Nunez for the second time in three days with Colorado set to face a southpaw (David Peterson) in Monday's series opener. Diaz shouldn't be viewed as a major threat to unseat Nunez for the No. 1 spot on the depth chart while he sits on a lowly .125/.179/.153 slash line through his first 78 plate appearances of the season.

Jansen is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Jansen will cede catching duties to Reese McGuire in the series finale after he was behind the plate Saturday and Sunday. After going 0-for-5 between those two starts, Jansen's season-long batting average sits at .137, the lowest mark in MLB among all players with at least 100 plate appearances.

Mejia is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Mejia was behind the dish for the Rays' 6-4 win Sunday afternoon and enjoyed another productive day at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a solo home run. The 25-year-old has left the yard in both of his past two starts to improve his OPS to .807 on the season, but he's still stuck in a timeshare with the similarly productive Mike Zunino (.904 OPS), who will catch Monday's series finale.

Contreras suffered a left wrist injury late in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Contreras was hit on the wrist by a 99 mph fastball while catching in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday, but he was able to remain in the game after he was examined by trainers. The Cubs have a scheduled day off Monday, and Contreras will be monitored in the coming days to determine the extent of the issue.

Grandal went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and a strikeout in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Yankees.

Grandal brought the White Sox within one run by homering in the seventh inning Sunday, and he drew a walk in the top of the ninth inning before he was replaced by a pinch runner. Grandal has now homered twice in his last four games, and he's slashing .141/.395/.376 with six home runs, 21 runs and 18 RBI this season.

Nola is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Nola will cede catching duties to Victor Caratini, who is typically behind the plate when Padres right-hander Yu Darvish is on the mound. Since his return from the injured list in late April, Nola has been a key cog in the San Diego lineup. In 16 games with the club, Nola has reached base at a .400 clip while plating 11 runs.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Though he's locked in as the Mariners' clear No. 1 catcher after Luis Torrens was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Murphy will still require at least a couple maintenance days per week. After starting each of the past three games behind the dish, Murphy will be rested Sunday in favor of Jose Godoy, who picks up his first big-league start.

Casali will start at catcher and bat seventh Sunday against the Dodgers, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Casali will get his third turn behind the plate in less than a week with Buster Posey getting Sunday off for maintenance purposes. For the season, Casali is slashing .107/.265/.125 across 68 plate appearances, so he likely won't be in store for an uptick in playing time while Posey remains healthy.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Trevino will get a breather for Sunday's matinee game after he caught both of the Rangers' last two games. Jonah Heim will form a battery with starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz in the series finale.
