Heim went 3-for-5 with a double, home run, two runs and two RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Dodgers.

Heim knocked a single in the second, two-run homer in the third and double in the eighth for his best all-around game of the season. The hits ended a 13 at-bat hitless stretch for Texas' reserve catcher, who now sports a .188/.241/.363 slash line.

Wynns went 1-for-3 with a grand slam in Saturday's loss to the Rays.

The backstop came up with the bases loaded in the fifth inning and stung Rich Hill for his first career grand slam. It was easily the biggest moment of the season for Wynns, who came into the contest with only two hits in 16 at-bats. The long ball was the sixth of his career.

Trevino is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Trevino and Jonah Heim have alternated starts over the last six games. Heim starts behind the plate Saturday, but Trevino should return to the lineup Sunday if the pattern continues.

Tromp was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Tromp had served as the Giants' backup catcher since the start of June while Curt Casali (wrist) was on the injured list. He'll head back to the minors despite a pair of multi-hit games now that Casali is healthy again.

Casali (wrist) was activated off the injured list Saturday and is expected to start the nightcap of the doubleheader against the Nationals, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Casali wound up missing slightly more than the minimum 10 days with a left wrist strain. He'll resume his role as Buster Posey's backup, with Chadwick Tromp heading to Triple-A.

Marchan was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

Marchan was recalled Thursday but never seemed likely to stick around long, as he was on the roster as the team's third catcher. He did appear off the bench that day but will head back to the minors to receive regular at-bats while awaiting his next opportunity. Reliever Enyel De Los Santos was recalled in a corresponding move.

Hedges (head/face) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.

He exited Friday's game shortly after getting hit in the face by a 93-mph fastball from Justin Dunn. It's unclear if he is simply day-to-day or if he sustained a concussion. Rene Rivera will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

Gomes will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants.

Gomes had a hit in five straight games before going 0-for-3 on Friday. Alex Avila will catch Erick Fedde in his absence, though Gomes will likely return to the lineup for the nightcap.

Maldonado went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-4 win over the Twins.

After reliever Ryne Stanek coughed up a one-run lead in the eighth inning, Maldonado doubled home Myles Straw in the top of the ninth to reclaim the lead for Houston. He later scored an insurance run on a Michael Brantley single. Maldonado has 17 RBI this season with eight of them coming in the last six games.

Perez went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Friday's loss to Oakland.

The Royals were held without a run for six innings Friday before Perez broke the drought with a solo homer in the seventh. He went deep again in the next frame to tie the score, though the Athletics eventually secured the win. Perez is up to 16 long balls on the season, tied for sixth in the league and tops among all catchers. He has notched three two-homer games in June.
