Vazquez had started each of the last six games and went 4-for-22 with two runs, two walks and three strikeouts during that time. Kevin Plawecki will start behind the dish Saturday, batting ninth.

Stallings isn't starting Saturday's game against the Twins.

Stallings has gone 1-for-20 with a double, one RBI, three walks and five strikeouts in his last seven games. Michael Perez will serve as the starting catcher Saturday, batting eighth.

Garver isn't starting Saturday's game against the Pirates.

Garver will be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games after he went hitless with four strikeouts in his last seven at-bats. Ryan Jeffers will start behind the plate Saturday, batting ninth.

Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Rockies.

Realmuto crossed the plate with the game's first run in the second inning after tripling to lead off the frame. He also singled and stole second base in the fourth and singled again in the seventh. The multi-hit game was his fourth of the campaign but his first since April 9. Despite a recent cold stretch, Realmuto is slashing an impressive .321/424/.536 overall this season.

Contreras went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, one walk and two strikeouts in Friday's 15-2 win over the Brewers.

Contreras struck out in his first two at-bats Friday, but his three-run blast in the sixth inning gave the team a 15-2 lead over Milwaukee. The 28-year-old has now reached base safely in each of his last 15 games, and he's slashing .267/.384/.583 with six home runs and 13 RBI this season.

Wallach isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Wallach went hitless in two at-bats while serving as a starter in Thursday's series opener against San Francisco. However, Sandy Leon will start behind the dish Friday, batting eighth.

Smith isn't starting Friday's game against the Padres, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Smith has gone 1-for-10 with a double, a walk and four strikeouts in his last three games. Austin Barnes will start behind the dish Friday, batting eighth.

McCann is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Washington.

McCann sits for just the third time this season. Tomas Nido will take over behind the plate in his absence, catching Jacob deGrom.

Huff (hamstring) underwent surgery to have a loose body removed from his knee and will be sidelined about eight weeks, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

The 23-year-old landed on the injured list with a hamstring injury to open the season, though he was also apparently battling a knee issue. It's expected to be about eight weeks before Huff will be cleared to hit in games, but his ability to handle a heavy workload behind the plate this season is currently up in the air.

Barnhart is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

Tyler Stephenson will catch Sonny Gray in his absence. The pair have had a fairly standard split behind the plate this season, with Barnhart starting 12 games compared to seven for Stephenson.
