The White Sox selected Teel's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

The 23-year-old is poised to make his MLB debut after posting a .295/.394/.492 slash line with eight homers and seven steals in 50 games for Charlotte to begin the season. Teel, who was acquired from the Red Sox as part of the Garrett Crochet trade in December, should split playing time behind the plate with Edgar Quero following Korey Lee's demotion to Triple-A on Friday. Teel has also been taking reps at first base but has yet to see game action there at the professional level, so he may need some time to get more comfortable at the position. The White Sox could also DH either of the young backstops to get them more playing time.

Jansen is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Marlins.

Jansen was the Rays' starting catcher for Thursday's night game, so he will get some rest during Friday's matinee. Matt Thaiss is behind the dish and batting seventh.

Smith went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored during Thursday's 6-5 win over the Mets.

Smith snapped an 0-for-16 skid with a couple of run-producing singles, including the rally-starter in the eighth inning to help power the Dodgers to a comeback victory. With an OPS sitting at .928, just outside the top 10 in MLB, the 30-year-old backstop is currently enjoying his best season at the plate since 2020, when he finished the regular season with a .980 OPS.

Fermin went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 7-5 win over the Cardinals in Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader.

Fermin's playing time has declined to begin June. He's hit safely in the last six games where he's received a plate appearance, but his effort in Thursday's nightcap was his first with multiple hits since May 6. The catcher is at a .255/.301/.340 slash line with two homers, eight RBI, 11 runs scored and three doubles over 114 plate appearances. If he can't turn things around with the bat, he'll likely continue to be confined to a backup role as Salvador Perez continues to be capable of working behind the plate as a starter.

Robinson was outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Robinson cleared waivers and will now stick in the Dodgers' organization after being designated for assignment Tuesday. He's unlikely to find his way to the majors barring an injury, with Will Smith and Dalton Rushing atop the team's depth chart at catcher.

Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and three total RBI in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Orioles.

Raleigh got the Mariners on the board in the third inning, tying the game 1-1 with an RBI single, before smacking his league-leading 24th homer off Zach Eflin in the fifth. It's been an incredible year thus far for the 28-year-old Raleigh -- he has at least one hit in 13 of his last 15 contests, going 20-for-58 (.345) with nine home runs in that span. Overall, Raleigh is batting .268 with a 1.015 OPS, 49 RBI and 41 runs scored through his first 265 plate appearances this season.

Rutschman went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 4-3 win over Seattle.

Rutschman tucked a Bryan Woo slider just inside the right-field foul pole in the sixth inning, tying the game 3-3. Rutschman looks to finally be turning things around at the plate after an extended slump to start the year -- he's now 7-for-13 with a pair of homers in his last three contests. The 27-year-old backstop is slashing .225/.314/.375 with seven homers, 26 runs scored and 18 RBI through 226 plate appearances this season.

The 23-year-old has only ever played catcher during his professional career; however, the team has been getting him fielding practice at first base over the past several days. With fellow prospect Edgar Quero already starting behind the plate most days for the White Sox and batting .256 on the year, learning a new position would certainly help Teel's chances of cracking the lineup regularly. That being said, it will likely take a while for him to feel comfortable enough at first base to begin playing there in major-league games.

Langeliers departed Thursday's game in the sixth inning after appearing to pull something on his left side during a swing, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Langeliers ended his day Thursday going 1-for-4 with a double, but his injury occurred in the final one of those at-bats. Logan Davidson subbed in for Langeliers as the designated hitter. It was later deemed that Langeliers departed due to left flank soreness, and he is set to receive an MRI to determine the severity of the issue, Martin Gallegos MLB.com reports.

McGuire is starting at catcher and batting ninth in Thursday's game against the Nationals.

McGuire will pick up his first start since Sunday as Carson Kelly gets a breather. McGuire launched two home runs in his first game of the year back on May 25, but he's gone 0-for-9 with three strikeouts across three games since then. The veteran catcher doesn't have a ton of fantasy value as long as Kelly is healthy, and McGuire will likely be moved off the MLB roster entirely whenever Miguel Amaya (oblique) is able to return from the injured list.
