Narvaez went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored Saturday against the Mariners.

Narvaez has emerged as the primary catcher for the White Sox and extended his hitting streak to a modest seven games. That has pushed his average up to .294, though his counting stats are unlikely to be noteworthy due to his position in the bottom third of the batting order and the poor White Sox offense.

Murphy recorded a solo home run in his only at-bat Saturday in a win over Diamondbacks.

Murphy entered the game in the eighth inning as a pinch hitter and delivered the go-ahead run on his first home run of the season. He remains the backup catcher behind Chris Iannetta, seeing just 55 at-bats in 20 appearances as a result. Gomes hardly stood out in the offensive barrage the Indians put together Saturday but benefited from timely hits to have a productive night. He hasn't homered since July 3, but he has seven runs and five RBI since then, solid numbers considering the lack of depth at catcher.

Casali went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Pirates.

In 19 games since joining the Reds. Casali is slashing .304/.385/.500 with two homers. His career production doesn't suggest he'll be able to keep up this pace for long, but GMs in deep NL-only formats can probably find a use for any catcher while he's hot at the plate.

Garver is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Maria Torres of The Kansas City Star reports.

Garver served as designated hitter Friday and busted an 0-for-12 slump by going 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two walks. Bobby Wilson will start behind the plate and bat ninth for the Twins on Saturday.

McCann is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

McCann went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Friday's 1-0 loss to Boston and will take a seat for the second game of the series. John Hicks will start at catcher and bat fourth Saturday for the Tigers.

Leon is not in Saturday's lineup against the Tigers, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Leon will take a seat Saturday after starting Friday's game and is now 7-for-41 with 13 strikeouts over his last 12 games. Blake Swihart will start behind the plate for Boston, batting ninth.

Barnhart is not starting Saturday against the Pirates.

Barnhart is hitting a modest .249/.329/.353 with five home runs through 81 games this season. Curt Casali will draw the start behind the plate in his absence.

Mesoraco is not in the lineup versus the Yankees on Saturday.

Mesoraco will occupy a spot on the bench after going 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI during Friday's series-opening win. In his place, Kevin Plawecki will catch Steven Matz and bat sixth.
