McCann is out of Saturday's lineup against the Blue Jays.

June has not been kind to McCann, as he will finish with a .150/.177/.167 slash line in 60 at-bats for the month if he does not play Saturday. Grayson Greiner will start behind the dish and hit seventh.

Trevino has been placed on the disabled list at Double-A Frisco with a left shoulder (non-throwing) impingement, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Trevino had a brief stay in the majors earlier this month before getting sent back down to Frisco. The Rangers decided they could get by with Isiah Kiner-Falefa as the backup catcher, so Trevino was sent back down to Frisco after making his MLB debut. He played just one game with the RoughRiders before ending up on the minor-league disabled list.

Perez (hand) will catch and bat fourth against the Mariners on Friday.

As expected, Perez will not miss any time after suffering a minor hand injury during Wednesday's game in Milwaukee. Over 59 contests this year, he's hitting .215/.257/.395 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI.

Gomes is out of the lineup against Oakland on Friday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Gomes will take a seat for the second straight game after starting six of the previous seven contests behind the plate. In his place, Roberto Perez will get another start and catch Trevor Bauer in the series opener. Expect to see Gomes back in the lineup for Saturday's tilt.

Grandal is not in the lineup against Colorado on Friday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Grandal will remain on the bench for a second straight game and third time in the past four days as Austin Barnes gets the start for the series opener. Across 19 games in June, Grandal is hitting just .169/.206/.338 and will continue to cede time to Barnes against southpaws moving forward.

Realmuto (wrist) will handle the catching duties against the Mets on Friday, Matthew DeFranks of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Realmuto was forced to miss the past four games with a sore wrist/hand but as expected, the 27-year-old will return to the lineup for Friday's series opener. He will bat third in the order and catch Sandy Alcantara.

Contreras is not in the lineup against Minnesota on Friday.

Contreras will receive a standard breather following three straight starts behind the plate. Chris Gimenez will catch Mike Montgomery and bat eighth in his place. Look for Contreras to return to the starting nine Saturday.

Maldonado is not in the lineup against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Maldonado will receive a standard breather following four straight starts. In his place, Jose Briceno will catch and bat eighth in the order.

Stubbs went 1-for-4 with a home run for Triple-A Fresno in its 5-4 loss to El Paso on Wednesday.

It was only the second long ball in 179 plate appearances on the season for Stubbs, but power has never been regarded as a major component of the backstop's game. Instead, Stubbs draws raves for his exceptional bat-to-ball and on-base skills, which are evident in his meager 15.6 percent strikeout rate and 9.8 percent walk rate, the latter of which is actually his lowest mark at any stop of the minors. An inflated .403 BABIP has propped Stubbs' average up to .346, but his aforementioned plate approach should allow him to at least be a neutral asset in that category when he hits the majors. There are more questions about Stubbs' ability to handle the rigors of catching, however, as he has already proven susceptible to injury during his young pro career and lacks ideal size for the position (5-foot-10, 175 pounds).

Murphy is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Giants.

Murphy will take a seat for the second straight day and for the fourth time in the last seven games, with Tony Wolters garnering the start behind the plate. The 27-year-old has a .317/.333/.439 slash line with 17 strikeouts in 41 at-bats since being recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on June 12.
