Elias Diaz C | KC
Padres' Elias Diaz: Sitting Saturday
Diaz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Diaz will give way to Martin Maldonado behind the plate after making three consecutive starts and going 1-for-11.

Jake Rogers C | DET
Tigers' Jake Rogers: Out again Saturday
Rogers is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Rogers has clearly fallen behind Dillon Dingler as Detroit's top catching option, with the latter starting for the fifth time in six days Saturday. Dingler, who is sporting a .794 OPS, took advantage of Rogers missing about six weeks with an oblique strain to emerge as a viable offensive threat and a regular starter. By comparison, Rogers has just a .449 OPS, which should keep him entrenched as the backup for the time being.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Idle Saturday
O'Hoppe is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.
O'Hoppe will get a day off after going 2-for-5 with three strikeouts against Cleveland on Friday. With Mike Trout serving as the designated hitter, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register relays that Travis d'Arnaud will likely start behind home plate ahead of O'Hoppe in games where Yusei Kikuchi or Kyle Hendricks are on the mound for the Halos. D'Arnaud will start at catcher and bat seventh while forming a battery with Hendricks on Saturday.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Resting Saturday
Jeffers is not in the Twins' starting lineup against the Mariners on Saturday.
Jeffers will get a breather while Christian Vazquez starts behind home plate and bats ninth. Jeffers has slashed .247/.341/.390 with five doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in 88 plate appearances since the beginning of May.

Chuckie Robinson C | LAD
Dodgers' Chuckie Robinson: Claimed off waivers by Dodgers
The Dodgers claimed Robinson off waivers Saturday.
Robinson was DFA'd by the Angels on Wednesday, but he'll remain in Los Angeles after being picked up by the Dodgers. The 30-year-old catcher slashed .272/.315/.388 with one home run and 18 RBI over 112 plate appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake this season. Robinson will likely remain in the minors, but he could receive a call up to the big leagues if Will Smith or Dalton Rushing were to miss time. Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day IL in a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster for Robinson.
-
Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Sitting out Saturday
Heim isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.
Heim will get a chance to regroup Saturday after going just 1-for-12 in his last five games. Kyle Higashioka will fill in at catcher and bat ninth.
-
Patrick Bailey C | SF
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Getting breather Saturday
Bailey isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Bailey will rest Saturday after turning in his first multi-hit performance since May 6 during Friday's series opener. His absence will put Sam Huff behind the plate and ninth in the batting order.

David Fry C | CLE
Guardians' David Fry: Activated from IL
The Guardians reinstated Fry (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Fry has spent the first portion of the season working his way back from an elbow procedure he underwent in November. He began playing in minor-league games May 13 and went 3-for-29 with a homer, five RBI and two runs scored during his nine-game rehab assignment. Despite his underwhelming performance, the Guardians feel he's ready to rejoin the active roster. Cody Bolton was designated for assignment to create room for Fry on the 40-man roster.

Chadwick Tromp C | ATL
Orioles' Chadwick Tromp: Pushed off 40-man
The Orioles designated Tromp for assignment Saturday.
Just five days after being added to the active roster, Tromp will lose his spot in favor of Jordyn Adams, who was selected from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday. Tromp went 0-for-4 during his time in Baltimore and has slashed .254/.338/.413 in 71 minor-league plate appearances this season.
