Plawecki is out of the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the White Sox.

Plawecki continues to alternate starts with Rene Rivera while Travis d'Arnaud recovers from a shoulder injury. It looks like this will to happen as long as d'Arnaud is out.

Manager Terry Collins indicated Tuesday that d'Arnaud (shoulder) is not close to going on a rehab assignment, The Record's Matt Ehalt reports.

This only confuses the matter, as there was a report earlier in the day that d'Arnaud could be headed on a rehab assignment this weekend. Apparently he suffered a setback, but hopefully more information will come to light in the coming days regarding where he's at in his recovery. For now he should be considered out indefinitely.

Sanchez went 1-for-2 with a home run against the Mariners on Tuesday.

Sanchez saw action midway into the game, and responded quite nicely at the plate with his first homer of the season in two at-bats. Sanchez is not going to see a lot of playing time behind Derek Norris and Christian Betancourt, but the 26-year-old has hit safely in three of the last four games.

Perez (quadriceps) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Drew Butera will get the start behind the plate Tuesday with Perez set to be sidelined for the rest of the week in all likelihood. Butera figures to see most of the playing time in Perez's absence, but Tony Cruz could earn a nod or two over the course of the next week.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) is closing in on a rehab assignment, ESPN New York reports.

The catcher has not participated in live game action since late-April, but he could embark on a rehab stint as early as this weekend. D'Arnaud is nursing a strained rotator cuff strain and figures to require several appearances before returning to New York, where he'll step back in as the primary catcher.

Bethancourt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's Memorial Day loss to the Mariners.

Bethancourt was getting the start on Monday at the DH spot on the road in Seattle. The catcher never found his fit in Atlanta despite being a top prospect, but has comported himself well in his first season in San Diego. The 24-year-old is batting .267 with four home runs and 11 RBI in part-time duty this season.

Rupp is out of the lineup Monday against the Nationals, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.

Rupp has made back-to-back starts behind the plate, but will sit Monday for the team's second consecutive day game. Backup Carlos Ruiz will man the backstop in his stead.

Vazquez is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.

Vazquez recorded a hit in each of his last four starts, but he will get a day off Monday with the Red Sox playing an early game for the second day in a row. Ryan Hanigan will get the start behind the plate in Vazquez's place.

Plawecki is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Plawecki and Rene Rivera have alternated the starts behind the plate since May 24, and the pattern will continue Monday, with Rivera starting after Plawecki was given the nod Sunday. The duo figures to continue sharing the catching duties until Travis d'Arnaud is ready to return.

Grandal is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.

The Dodgers tweeted an initial lineup featuring Grandal, but corrected their mistake shortly thereafter. It will be A.J. Ellis behind the plate for the evening contest, as it's typically Ellis who catches lefty Clayton Kershaw. Plus, Grandal had caught four straight games, so the timing was right for a routine day of rest.
