Kelly is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Dodgers.

Kelly went 0-for-4 in Sunday's contest but has been one of the biggest stories in baseball early this season with six homers and a 1.502 OPS through 49 plate appearances. The 30-year-old and Miguel Amaya continue to split playing time behind the plate, however, with Amaya getting the start Tuesday.

Wong (finger) caught a bullpen session Tuesday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Wong will continue to catch bullpen sessions and perform other baseball activities as he ramps things back up after suffering a fractured left pinky finger in early April. He could be back with the Red Sox by early May.

Wells is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

It's a routine day off for Wells, who started each of the previous three contests. J.C. Escarra will do the catching and bat eighth for the Yankees.

Bailey went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Monday's 5-2 win over Milwaukee.

Bailey lined an RBI single into right field to put the Giants on the board in the second frame. The 25-year-old added a sacrifice fly in the eighth, driving in San Francisco's final run. Bailey recorded just his second hit over his last five appearances, during which he's gone 2-for-18 with four RBI and a 1:9 BB:K. The switch-hitting catcher is now slashing a lackluster .169/.231/.271 with eight RBI, seven runs scored, five extra-base hits and a 5:23 BB:K across 65 plate appearances.

Herrera (knee) began a baserunning progression Sunday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Herrera did some straight-line running from base to base and will progress to rounding bases as his injured left knee allows. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that Herrera has been able to increase other baseball activities without setbacks, and the catcher has also been taking batting practice and catching pitches from a high-velocity pitching machine. Herrera is just past the two-week mark of an absence that's expected to last at least four weeks, and his recovery seems to be coming along well. The young catcher is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 7-6 win against the Cardinals.

Murphy was hitless until the eighth inning, when he pounded a three-run homer to left field to give Atlanta a 7-3 lead. The long ball was the fifth of the season for the veteran catcher in just 11 games, and he now has 11 RBI in what was been a productive beginning to 2025 after Murphy began the campaign on the injured list due to an injury. He's still batting a mediocre .205, but the power output and run production has kept Murphy atop Atlanta's catcher depth chart despite the recent offensive upswing of rookie Drake Baldwin.

Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, a stolen base and a walk in Monday's win over the Reds.

Ramirez singled in his first career MLB at-bat and came around to score during the second inning. His first extra-base knock was a ground-rule double in the seventh. Ramirez got the start behind the plate and his batterymate, Max Meyer, fired six shutout frames with 14 punchouts. Ramirez is one of the team's top prospects and is already building a strong case for regular playing time.

Nido is starting at catcher and batting ninth in Monday's game against the Padres.

Nido will give Dillon Dingler a breather, as the latter started both Saturday and Sunday behind the plate. Nido is Detroit's backup catcher for the time being with Jake Rogers (oblique) on the injured list, and the veteran has played well in a small sample, collecting four hits in nine at-bats so far.

Dingler is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Dingler started both Saturday and Sunday behind the plate after getting a rest Friday, and he'll retreat to the bench in favor of Tomas Nido on Monday. The 26-year-old is Detroit's top catching option at the moment with Jake Rogers (oblique) on the injured list, while Nido provides veteran depth. Dingler figures to return to the lineup Tuesday.

Rogers (oblique) played catch at Comerica Park on Monday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Rogers tossed the ball around with fellow rehabber Austin Meadows (shoulder), who just recently began a throwing program. The catcher is expected to be out until early May as he recovers from a left oblique strain.
