Ryan O'Hearn 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Goes deep Tuesday
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.
O'Hearn took Jack Flaherty deep in the second to give his team the early lead. The home run was his first since July 20 and just his second hit in his last 21 at-bats. For the year, O'Hearn is slashing .268/.343/.438 with 13 homers, 49 RBI, 51 runs, three steals and a 40:51 BB:K in 399 plate appearances.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Getting day off versus lefty
Larnach is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.
With lefty Max Fried toeing the rubber for Atlanta, the lefty-hitting Larnach will take a seat in the series opener. Royce Lewis will get a day out of the infield and will serve as the Twins' designated hitter in Larnach's stead while Jose Miranda checks into the lineup at Lewis' usual spot at third base.

Livan Soto SS | BAL
Orioles' Livan Soto: Back in majors
The Orioles recalled Soto from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Soto will provide some depth while the Orioles are without three key infielders (Jordan Westburg, Jorge Mateo and Ryan Mountcastle) due to injuries. It's the third stint with Baltimore this season for Soto, who did not see any action the first two times around.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Back in lineup in left field
Alvarez (neck) will start in left field and bat second in Monday's game against the Phillies, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez was on the bench for each of the Astros' last three games due to neck discomfort, but the team's willingness to use him in the outfield rather than at designated hitter Monday implies confidence in his health moving forward. He'll put an 18-game on-base streak on the line as he draws back into the lineup Monday. During that stretch, Alvarez has slashed .364/.475/.652 with five home runs and 12 walks against 10 strikeouts.

David Fry C | CLE
Guardians' David Fry: Goes yard in win
Fry went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rangers.
Fry's power has picked up in August -- he's hit five homers this month, giving him 13 for the year. That's about the only thing trending in the right direction for the 28-year-old, who has been losing playing time since he's hitting just .175 (10-for-57) across 19 games this month. Overall, Fry has a .265/.364/.454 slash line with 46 RBI, 40 runs scored, 14 doubles and four stolen bases over 102 contests.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Completes trifecta of homers
Stanton went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a hit-by-pitch in Sunday's 10-3 win over the Rockies.
The Yankees' big sluggers were at their best in the seventh inning, as Stanton had the third of three consecutive homers, following Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. This was Stanton's third game in a row with a long ball, giving him 23 on the year. The slugger is up to a .245/.305/.495 slash line with 57 RBI, 41 runs scored and 13 doubles across 88 contests this season, which is decent production given his downward trend over the previous two campaigns.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Out of Sunday's lineup
O'Hearn isn't in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
O'Hearn has gone 1-for-16 over his past six games and will sit Sunday against Houston lefty Yusei Kikuchi. Eloy Jimenez is batting fifth as the designated hitter in the series finale against the Astros.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Sitting again Sunday
Alvarez (neck) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
It's the third straight game on the bench for Alvarez as he continues to battle neck discomfort. The 27-year-old should continue to be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener at Philadelphia. Mauricio Dubon, Chas McCormick and Ben Gamel will start across the outfield Sunday while Yainer Diaz serves as the designated hitter.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Launches two homers in win
Larnach went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Cardinals.
Larnarch opened the scoring with a three-run blast in the third inning and added a solo shot in the fifth. He had hit just one homer over his previous 19 contests, though he batted a steady .267 in that span. The outfielder is up to a .257/.328/.457 slash line with 14 homers, 42 RBI, 44 runs scored and four stolen bases through 86 games this season while holding down a strong-side platoon role in left field.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Reaches 30 homers
Rooker went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 9-5 loss to the Brewers.
His two-run shot in the sixth inning off Colin Rea came when Oakland had already fallen into a 5-1 hole. Rooker has proven that last year's breakout wasn't his ceiling, and while his 30 homers matches his career-high total from last year, the 29-year-old's 87 RBI and .935 OPS blow away his 2023 production.
