Cabrera is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera will get a day off for the first time in almost two months for Saturday's contest. In his place, the Tigers will start Jarrod Saltalamacchia at first base. This appears to be just an average day off for Cabrera, who will likely be back in the lineup Sunday.

Reed is out of the lineup for Saturday's contest against the White Sox.

Reed will get a day off as manager A.J. Hinch is slotting in right-handed batters to face Chris Sale on Saturday. In his place, Marwin Gonzalez will get the nod at first base while Jose Altuve takes the DH spot.

Goins (forearm) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday with forearm tightness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet reports.

Goins made an appearance on the mound during Friday's 19-inning affair with the Indians, and his forearm tightness could probably be traced back to his time on the hill. He has slowly been phased out of the starting lineup in recent weeks, having only started one game since June 17.

Miller went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Friday against the Tigers.

Miller's 11th blast of the year got the Rays on the board in the ninth inning of a game they lost 10-2. This was his first game with more than one RBI since May 21, and he has 28 RBI on the season.

Torrens is 8-for-26 in six games at Staten Island (.308/.345/.346) since returning from the minor league DL.

He'll likely stay in the New York-Penn League for a few more weeks, with the eventual landing spot of Low-A Charleston as he progresses through his age-20 season.

Buxton went 1-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the White Sox and is hitting just .193. However, GM Terry Ryan says he's content leaving Buxton in the lineup despite his struggles at the plate due to his strong glove. "[People] probably equate his progress with the bat only. But his defense, that helps us here," Ryan told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Buxton continues to struggle to make contact as he has 33 strikeouts in 86 at-bats in June and just four walks. However, it sounds like the Twins are going to give him extended time in the majors to improve.

Brantley (shoulder) has progressed to soft toss and the Indians remain optimistic that he'll be able to make an impact in the second half of the season, MLB.com reports.

Brantley's working his way back and has only recently resumed swinging a bat after a cortisone shot to help alleviate biceps tendinitis so a return is hardly imminent but he appears to be trending in a positive direction.

Goins scored as a pinch-runner on a wild pitch in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

The infielder is seemingly being faded out of the Jays' game plan altogether. After being the starting second baseman for a majority of the season, Goins has only started in one game since June 17, and he's only played in five of the team's last ten contests. With Devon Travis and Troy Tulowitzki both healthy for the first time this year, Goins spot on the roster is a delicate one to say the least.

Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a solo shot, three RBI and two runs in Wednesday's 10-3 crushing of the Marlins.

The Marlins were the last MLB team to give up a Cabrera homer -- partly because he spent the first five seasons of his career in Miami -- but the first baseman made up for lost time with two in less than 24 hours. His drive Wednesday off Dustin McGowan's 95-mph fastball hit off the brick wall behind the left-field seats, an estimated 459-foot drive, according to Statcast. It was career homer No. 426 for Miggy, tying him with Billy Williams on the all-time list. The veteran is slashing .301/.375/.542 through 299 at-bats this season.

Miller has raised his average 76 points over the last two months, and is now hitting .500 (7-for-14) over the last three games after blasting a solo homer in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

The offseason acquisition from the Mariners started his Rays stint mired in the worst slump of his career, and didn't cross the Mendoza Line for good until May 16. He's significantly picked it up since then, and seems to be hitting his stride in the latter half of June. Miller has reached safely in 11 of his last 12 contests, and has half of his 10 homers on the season during the month.
