Ruf (hamstring) will start his Triple-A rehab assignment Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Having been sidelined nearly a month with a strained right hamstring, the first baseman figures to require a couple rehab games before being activated by the Giants. Early next week, perhaps Tuesday against the Angels, remains a realistic target for Ruf's return to action.

There's no exact timeline of when Dickerson will complete the rehab assignment and return to the Giants, but one or two games is a typical rehab length for a hitter who's missed a a couple weeks.

Miller isn't starting Saturday's game against the Giants.

Miller had started each of the last two games with Jean Segura (groin) sidelined, but he went 0-for-7 with a walk and six strikeouts. Luke Williams will start at second base and bat seventh.

Dickerson (back) is unlikely to be activated from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

The left fielder was expected to be activated Saturday, but that doesn't figure to happen as he's not in the lineup for the game against Philadelphia. It's not clear exactly when Dickerson will return, but all signs have pointed to him being very close to rejoining the Giants.

Winker went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's loss to the Padres.

Winker didn't do much offensively but was responsible for one of the Reds' runs, as he plated Kyle Farmer home with an RBI single in the top of the third inning. The slugging outfielder has hit safely in six straight games, a span in which he's racked up three doubles, four RBI, one run scored and a 2:2 BB:K.

Belt went 1-for-4 with a home run in Friday's win over the Phillies.

Belt might have recorded just one hit, but it was a big one -- he took Bailey Falter deep in the fifth inning and notched his 10th homer of the season. The slugging first baseman also extended his hitting streak to five games, a span in which he's recorded four multi-hit games, three doubles, two triples, two homers, five RBI, six runs scored and a 1.715 OPS.

McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Giants.

McCutchen has gone deep in two of his last three games and has already blasted five homers across 13 games this month. While those power numbers are likely unsustainable, there's no question the veteran outfielder has provided a spark on offense for the Phillies over the last few weeks. He's hitting .326 with a 1.201 OPS across 49 plate appearances this month.

Pederson went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Friday's 10-2 loss to Miami.

Pederson took Miami starter Cody Poteet deep in the first and third innings. Friday's performance continues a strong June for the 29-year-old outfielder, who is batting .254 with seven homers, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored in his last 15 games. He's up to a .250/.313/.474 slash line with 11 homers, 29 RBI and 26 runs scored across 214 plate appearances overall. However, he's been caught stealing in all three of his stolen base attempts.

The Giants will wait until after Friday's game to determine whether to reinstate Dickerson (back) from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Dickerson was expected to return from the injured list when he's first eligible Saturday, but manager Gabe Kapler said Friday that the outfielder could still have a brief rehab assignment to get some at-bats before returning. Even if the 31-year-old is reinstated from the injured list Saturday, he could still receive some maintenance days in the near future to ease him back into action.

Harper (back) is starting Friday's game against the Giants.

Harper left Tuesday's game against the Dodgers due to lower-back tightness and was held out Wednesday as a result. However, he was able to rest during Thursday's off day, and he'll return to right field and bat third in Friday's series opener in San Francisco. The 28-year-old has gone 6-for-15 with a double, three RBI and two runs across his last four appearances.
