Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Continues producing in win
Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in a win over the Pirates on Sunday.
Carpenter will never look back on his difficult 2019 season fondly, but he's at least showing some signs of potentially finishing an otherwise disappointing campaign on a positive note. The veteran has reached safely in five straight games, and he's gone 6-for-15 with two doubles, two RBI, three walks and two runs overall in the seven September contests during which he's logged at least one plate appearance. While his season line still sits at an underwhelming .226/.336/.380, all of his numbers have consistently inched upward since Aug. 25, the start of a 13-game period during which Carpenter has hit .387 across 37 trips to the plate.

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Gets suspension dropped
Turner (ankle), who is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, had his one-game suspension withdrawn following a successful appeal, Pedro Moura of The Athletic reports.
The suspension stemmed from Turner making contact with an umpire back in a Aug. 27 game against the Rockies, but Major League Baseball apparently ruled that his actions didn't warrant any further punishment beyond an undisclosed fine. While the Dodgers revealed Sunday that Turner was tending to a sore ankle, the veteran at least received some good news heading into the upcoming week. Following an off day Monday, Los Angeles expects to have Turner back in the lineup Tuesday, when the team begins a two-game set in Baltimore.

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Tending to sore ankle
Turner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants due to a sore ankle, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Turner's absence from the starting nine in the series finale was initially believed to be the result of a maintenance day, but the Dodgers later relayed that an injury was behind his move to the bench. Fortunately for the veteran third baseman and fantasy managers alike, the ankle issue is only viewed as a minor concern. After a team off day Monday, the Dodgers expect Turner to rejoin the lineup at either third base or designated hitter Tuesday in Baltimore.

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Gets Sunday off
Turner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Turner's absence looks to be little more than a routine off day for the veteran, who had started nine of the Dodgers' past 10 games. Matt Beaty will step in for Turner at third base in the series finale.

Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Giants' Brandon Belt: Heads to bench Sunday
Belt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Belt will sit for the second time in the three-game series with the Dodgers bringing a southpaw (Julio Urias) to the hill for the finale. With Belt on the bench, Austin Slater will pick up the start at first base.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Still sidelined Sunday
Harper (hand) remains on the bench Sunday against the Mets.
Harper will sit for the second straight game after getting struck in his right hand by a pitch Friday. It doesn't appear as though he'll miss too much more time, though, as he has a chance to be available as a pinch hitter Sunday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Adam Haseley will start in right field in his absence.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: Breaks 0-for-13 stretch with homer
Ozuna went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, three runs and two walks during a 10-1 victory against the Pirates on Saturday.
The veteran outfielder started the rout with a three-run long ball in the third. This was just his second homer in his last 13 games, and Ozuna also broke an 0-for-13 stretch with the homer. Ozuna is batting .255 with 26 home runs, 81 RBI, 72 runs and 12 steals in 411 at-bats this season.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Receives cortisone shot
Dickerson (oblique) flew back to San Francisco for a cortisone shot Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
An oblique issue has kept Dickerson out of action since Tuesday. His return timeline should become clearer once the team sees how the injury responds to the shot.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Remains out of action
Dickerson (oblique) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Dickerson was unavailable Thursday and later told Kerry Crowley of the Mercury News, "It hasn't felt right since I came back (from the injured list)." While Dickerson seems to think he could return during next week's homestand, the Giants are reportedly unsure when Dickerson will be able to play again. Austin Slater is making his second straight start in the outfield after Jaylin Davis made back-to-back starts earlier in the week.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Out Saturday
Harper (hand) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.
X-rays were negative after Harper was hit on his right hand by a pitch Friday, but he will miss at least one start. It's uncertain if he will be available off the bench. Adam Haseley is in right field Saturday with Scott Kingery in center and Brad Miller at third.
