Dodgers 3B Justin Turner undergoes knee surgery Thursday
Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner will have surgery on his left knee Thursday, but is expected to be ready for spring training, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
Turner had his best season, blowing past his career high in home runs with 16 long balls and a .294/.370/.491 slash line. He should be back playing pretty regularly in 2016.

Soler was replaced in Game 2's lineup by Chris Coghlan, but the 23-year-old will find himself back in the starting lineup once more in what amounts to a nearly must-win situation for the Cubs. Soler will start in right field and hit sixth in the batting order.

His troublesome left knee swelled up again Tuesday, forcing Turner to leave Game 4 prematurely, but he is will be able to play Thursday, as expected. Turner will man third base and bat cleanup against Jacob deGrom.

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (knee) is expected to be able to play Thursday in Game 5 of the NLDS, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
The 30-year-old was forced from Tuesday's Game 4 with swelling in his left knee, the same knee that limited him during the final couple weeks of the regular season. However, manager Don Mattingly expects Turner to be able to give it a go against Jacob deGrom with the season on the line.

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner left Tuesday's game due to swelling in his knee, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
It was part of a double-switch, with Corey Seager moving to third base and Jimmy Rollins moving to shortstop late in Tuesday's Game 4 victory over the Mets. Turner should be considered day-to-day in advance of Thursday's deciding Game 5.
