Thielbar (oblique) is slated to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A St. Paul, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Thielbar should be cleared to return to the Twins' bullpen after just a couple of tuneup outings at the Triple-A level. He was sporting a shiny 1.80 ERA through 11 appearances this season with Minnesota when he suffered a right oblique strain in early May.

Pop (hamstring) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Saturday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The workout will be a significant step forward for Pop, who has been on the shelf since May 5 because of a right hamstring strain. He could head out on a minor-league rehab assignment sometime next week if all goes smoothly, and he might be an option again for the Blue Jays' bullpen in early June.

White (shoulder) will begin a new rehab assignment Saturday with Triple-A Buffalo, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

White was pulled off a previous rehab stint last week due to shoulder fatigue, but it proved to be a minor blip in his recovery from the right elbow injury that has kept him out all year. He'll be stretched out as a starter on his rehab stint, beginning with something close to a 50-pitch outing Saturday for Buffalo.

Hendriks (illness) threw a successful round of live batting practice Friday in Detroit, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"His numbers were really good," manager Pedro Grifol said of Hendriks' velocity readings during the workout. "He ticked up from [his last session in] Cleveland. Really good step in the right direction." The veteran closer now has three live batting practice sessions under his belt since a mostly underwhelming six-appearance rehab stint with Triple-A Charlotte. Recovered from an offseason diagnosis of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Hendriks could make a triumphant return to the White Sox bullpen at some point this weekend.

Tate (forearm) has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right elbow and will remain on the injured list, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Orioles manager Mike Elias said Friday that the new injury is unrelated to the right forearm flexor strain that Tate suffered over the offseason, but he'll be shut down again before then having to build back up. The 29-year-old was getting shelled to the tune of a 14.04 ERA through 10 minor-league rehab appearances.

The Angels selected Bachman from Double-A Rocket City on Friday.

The 23-year-old righty has has trouble finding the strike zone consistently at Double-A, but he will join the Angels' bullpen nonetheless, likely in a multi-inning role. Reyes Moronta was designated for assignment Friday in order to make room for Bachman on the active roster.

Brieske (elbow) threw a live batting practice session earlier this week, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Brieske came out of it well and is slated for another live BP on Saturday. He's been out all season following a nerve hydrodissection procedure on his right elbow in April but would seem to be nearing a rehab assignment.

Kahnle (biceps) could rejoin the Yankees' bullpen for next weekend's series against the Dodgers, manager Aaron Boone told Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News on Friday.

Kahnle indicated earlier this week that he should be ready to go following a third rehab appearance Thursday, but evidently the Yankees want him to knock a little more rust off. The reliever hasn't allowed a hit or a run in three rehab innings, striking out two and walking one. Kahnle has been out all season with right biceps tendinitis.

Cano earned a save against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

Felix Bautista was presumably unavailable after pitching each of the previous two days, so Cano was called upon to close out the contest with Baltimore up 3-0 in the ninth. The right-hander uncharacteristically allowed a run to score but nonetheless managed to finish off the win. The run was just the second Cano has allowed over 26.2 innings on the campaign, and he also issued his first free pass of the season, so this was one of the few times he's looked mortal in what has been a dominant effort thus far. Bautista has been outstanding as well as the Orioles' closer, thus Cano's save chances will likely continue to be limited to instances when Bautista is unavailable.

Lovelady (0-3) allowed one earned run on a walk and no hits while striking out one across 0.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Mariners.

Lovelady entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with the score knotted at 2-2. He retired two of the three batters he faced but was pulled for Garrett Acton, who was on the mound when the winning run crossed the plate. Lovelady began the season in the minors, but he has pitched well since being recalled, turning in 13 scoreless outings in 16 appearances. It's difficult to decipher the Athletics bullpen due to their lack of wins and standout talent, but Lovelady could see some save chances moving forward -- particularly while Zach Jackson (elbow) is sidelined.
