The Yankees selected Weber's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Weber has made seven starts for SWB this season, holding a 5.77 ERA and 26:6 K:BB over 34.1 frames. He'll provide the Yanks with a fresh arm in the bullpen capable of going multiple innings.

The Yankees transferred Loaisiga (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

This move clears out a 40-man roster spot for Ryan Weber, who is joining the Yankees' bullpen ahead of their four-game series against the AL East-leading Rays. Loaisiga underwent surgery earlier this month to remove a bone spur from his right elbow and is expected to be sidelined until late in the 2023 season.

Martinez (elbow) made a rehab appearance for Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, covering 1.2 innings while allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks.

The Athletics are likely planning to have Martinez work as a multi-inning reliever upon his return from the 15-day injured list, and the fact that he built up to 37 pitches Tuesday could mean that he won't require any further rehab appearances prior to being activated. Before landing on the IL with a right elbow strain in late May, Martinez logged a 6.75 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 17.1 innings out of the Oakland bullpen.

Neal will be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas by the Athletics to start Thursday's game versus the Rangers, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Neal has been on quite a journey. The 34-year-old made 30 appearances for the A's from 2016-17 and last pitched in the majors in 2018 when he made one appearance for the Dodgers. He pitched in Japan from 2019-21 before spending last season at Triple-A Albuquerque in the Rockies organization. Neal held a 5.56 ERA and 11:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings with Vegas.

Pressly picked up the save during Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Angels, allowing two runs on four hits over one inning. He struck out one and did not walk a batter.

Pressly entered with a three-run lead but allowed four consecutive batters to reach to start the frame, including a two-run home run by Shohei Ohtani. However, the right-hander was able to settle down and retired three straight to end the inning, stranding the game-tying and go-ahead runs. Pressly is now 6-for-6 in save chances this season and remains Houston's top option in the ninth, but the Astros also trust Rafael Montero, Bryan Abreu and Hector Neris in high-leverage, late-inning situations, with the trio combining for four saves thus far.

Romano blew the save in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Phillies, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out one over one inning.

Romano squandered Kevin Gausman's stellar start by allowing hits to three of the first four batters in the ninth, including a game-tying, RBI double to J.T. Realmuto. Romano is now 9-for-11 in save chances this season and sports a 3.60 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB over 17 appearances (15 innings). Despite the blown save, Romano's role as Toronto's primary closer shouldn't be in jeopardy.

Smith struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his sixth save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Mariners.

The veteran reliever continues to get the job done as the Rangers' closer. Smith has converted six of seven save chances through 14 appearances while also adding four holds, and he's only been scored upon in three of those outings. With Jose Leclerc once again having trouble finding the plate and having been shifted to low-leverage work for now, Smith has little competition for his spot on the depth chart.

Cano picked up his third save of the season in a win over the Rays on Wednesday after pitching a perfect ninth inning. He had one strikeout.

The 29-year-old was called upon to close out the game with Felix Bautista seemingly unavailable to pitch after he threw 29 pitches Tuesday. Cano sent the Rays down in order on just eight pitches and has yet to give up a run in 14 appearances. He now has a 0.16 WHIP and 22:0 K:BB over 18.2 innings. His ratios make him a viable fantasy asset even though he is not first in line for saves since he should be the next guy up whenever Bautista rests.

Beeks tossed two shutout innings as Wednesday's opener against the Orioles, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out two.

The 29-year-old was named the opener for Wednesday's contest and did his job before handing the ball off to Yonny Chirinos. Beeks has not been particularly effective overall this season with a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 13:10 K:BB across 18 innings. His strikeout to walk ratio is currently the worst it's been over his five-year career and his 5.14 FIP would be the highest.

Berroa has transitioned to a relief role with Double-A Arkansas, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The 23-year-old righty opened the year in the Double-A rotation, but after walking 19 batters and giving up 13 earned runs in 22.2 innings across five starts, Seattle will look to fast-track him as a reliever. Berroa, who is already on the 40-man roster, has a premium fastball/slider combination that could play up in a high-leverage role, assuming he can throw enough strikes.
